Dejavu again. Although last year my pre-order for S22 Ultra didn't affected by the delay fiasco, lesson learned. So this year I skipped the online pre-order. I went for the walk-in pre-order from official store instead.

Now I wonder whether the walk in pre-order is affected or not. No estimated shipping date. Only can wait for their call. LOL.

Guys, for anyone who had experience on collecting phone from Samsung store before. How they contact you before the pick up? SMS or phone calling? If SMS, then it's fine. If it's phone calling, then I have to keep the phone by my side all the time. Just in case I may miss the call.

Hopefully the same for all stores the whole country. Finger crossing.

Preordered by walk-in store. So far no calls no msg no email. Perhaps they will only start calling after tomorrow? Or are they expecting that we will pay a visit automatically and hope will get early after seeing that preorder collection announcement? If that's the case, that will be crazy. Imagine tomorrow people go in, some can get while some cannot. Chaos is about to be happened. Lol

It's a launch sales, preorder period is ended after 24th. You buy a phone at launch, of course you can get on the spot.

As long as the delivery and pick up get green light before 24th, then I am ok. But if after 24th still nothing, and if after 24th people who walk in and buy from the store can get the phone right away while we the preorder ones are still waiting, then it's time to flip the table.

Received call from the Samsung store. Can collect already. I will go tomorrow. No rush.

S23 ultra green btw. Walk in order on 4th Feb.

So from couple of posts above, we can safely assume that if your unit is arrived today, you will receive calls from DHL/SES. As for the future owners who won't be getting today, you will receive a special msg from Samsung Malaysia instead ragarding the postpone delivery.

Based on the color you choose. If normal color, most likely can get before end of Feb or early March. If exclusive color, then confirm wait until March. But if you prefer get it faster, may be you can consider walk-in purchase at launch, which is on 24th Feb.

So far, the only main difference between preorder and launch sales is double storage discount and free Galaxy watch. Want free double storage, then preorder now. If want Galaxy watch, then wait until 24th Feb and go to buy at store.

My advice , just buy at store. Now only preorder is kind of late. Especially if you can't wait for so long before it gets delivered.

No. Free double storage is only available for online preorder. Dateline is 23rd Feb.

Tomorrow holiday bro. Even if DHL picks up today, most likely it will only get delivered to you next Monday.

Yes. In fact, you can actually walk in and buy the phone since 17th Feb. I collected mine on 18th, saw a lot of customers just walked in casually and bought the phones right away. However, the free gift is Galaxy watch. I was like WTF!? If I knew this would happen, I would have just skipped the pre-order and only buy the phone once the SES got stocks. Afterall, pre-order or not, you still can get the free gift (much better). Not to mention that you may get the phone earlier than those pre-order ones. Once again, lesson learned. Last year I pre-ordered online. This year I pre-ordered walk-in. Next year no need to pre-order.

Yes. No 600 instant discount. However, you can trade in up to 5 devices if you walk in preorder. Also, you can get extra cash rebate for certain phones as long as its condition is perfect. In my case, I traded in S21 plus, condition is perfect, so other than the trade in value, I also got extra 650 rebate, which is better than the online 600 discount.

So the choices are very simple. If your old phone is broken, go trade in online. If your old phone is working fine and pristine, then better go trade in at store.

The only downside is you won't know how much rebate you can get unless you walk in and trade in your old phone on the spot.

Haha. I am honest guy. So never thought to go for that way. Also, I don't want to waste my time to find and wait for buyers. So trade in at store is the best choice for a lazy guy like me.

Can't remember the exact figure. Approximately 1400-1500 include the extra rebate.

Like what i said. Most of us have went through the same shit last year. When i knew about that this year S23 series is using TSMC chipset, I already figured out that they wouldn't have enough stock for the whole world supply. In order to make sure that I could get the pre-order phone earlier, I had no choice but to apply walk-in preorder. because I knew the walk-in preorder unit batch is not coming with the online preorder batch. It's actually another batch without going through the DHL shipment. So there's no nonsence such as delay or mishandling. Yes. A bit of hassle. But for the sake of piece of mind.

So guys, please lah. This time learned the lesson well. Next year don't repeat the same thing. If you think that online pre-order is much more worthy than any other deals, then you accept it and be ready for possible delay. Of course you have every right to brag about it, but Samsung, the greedy bastard, ain't bother with it. That's the hard truth. Not only Samsung, other companies also did the same thing. For example, Oneplus 11. Heard that many buyers still not yet receive their phones after the estimated delivery date.


As for the wrinkle display. To tell you the truth. My S22 Ultra also has the same issue. Do it bother me? Not at all. Since 95% of Samsung curved screen phones have the same thing, even if i keep asking for replacement, most probably the next could be even worse. So how? Keep changing until satisfied? I don't have that kind of free time. As long as it doesn't affect my usage, life goes on.

I do agree that Samsung QC is lousy. I bought their TVs and monitor as well. I knew this very well. So if one really cannot stand with this kind of thing, please avoid Samsung brands. There's plenty of choices out there. No need to worry for such problem.

Oh and you ask why I can bear with Samsung poor QC? Because i found out the One Ui system suits me the most. Because Samsung TV and monitor color suits me the best. And of course, I can get special discount. So i love samsung. I am a Samsung fag. End of story.

So it's that time again? Now only August, still too soon to tell if the S24 series is worthy or not. As for the possibility of the return of the prodigal son exynos, I can only say this.
