QUOTE(Gratitude2022 @ Aug 7 2023, 06:05 PM) You will never know, Exynos can be very good in the future. I tried Samsung many many years ago. I also say I will never buy Samsung again. Sucks compared to Nokia. Now I have to eat back my words. The problem is Samsung always claimed that title everytime they released a new version of exynos. And it always turn out to be bad in the end. Been there, done that. Speaking as a loyal Samsung fag (since Note 5). To be honest, exynos is not that bad. It can definitely perform well for daily usage. But if we can choose, of course we will always go for the superior one (snapdragon), for the sake of value. QUOTE(Duckies @ Oct 5 2023, 08:48 AM) Unsure what chipset S24 gonna use...if it's gonna be shittynox then thanks but no thanks. I would stick to S23. I am happy with my S23+ experience...superb battery and UI! QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Oct 5 2023, 11:38 AM) I called it Exyshit. Had 2 experiences with it, Exynos 990 and 2100, performance wise they were ok, but I cannot get past the feeling that I am paying for sub-par performance on the overall compared to the Snapdragon equivalent. QUOTE(bryant601 @ Oct 5 2023, 11:55 AM) i got s23 ultra for few weeks now and having a note 10+ with me for slightly more than 4 years now? i can say that with the note 10+ the performance now is much more laggy even after i have changed the battery at Samsung service center. understanding that the processor has aged, but i have used note 5 also the performance at least is much better even after 4 years of usage! hopefully 8gen2 doesnt disappoint! I have been using Samsung flagship since Note 5. Change phone every year. Now using S23 Ultra. I dare to say this is the best Samsung phone in my list. Battery life win kaokao! Once you used Snapdragon, you won't go back. Say NO to exynos!

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Oct 6 2023, 10:37 AM) Still using my S9+ with E-shit-nos 8895. I think battery life discussion is kinda out of date since you can full charge in 20-25minutes nowadays bar Samsung (ROFL). I hope that moving forward, we would have smaller phone, smaller batteries, and faster charging. No matter how fast the charging also no use. Because frequent charging = shorter battery lifespan. I always prefer one day or two day one charge, hassle free. Of course, if you change phone every year, then battery life span is not an issue. But for people who prefer to use the phone for few years, longer battery life is vital.

QUOTE(skyp @ Dec 21 2023, 07:32 PM) 6.6" to 6.7" 4700mAh to 4900mAh 8gb to 12gb RAM Now comes with 2k resolution Weight has gone down a little But not sure if S24/S24+ getting Exynos or SD If the 2k resolution is true, I may consider to buy S24+ as my secondary phone. Now the only question is SD or Exynos.....

Shit! My 2yrs old S23 Ultra got the pink light saber today after I updated to One Ui 7.0 last few days.
I took care of my phone very carefully. Ringke casing since day one.
Been loyal to Samsung since Note 5. Changed phone almost every year until 2023. All High end S/Note series. At the end, what do i get from this? I have to pay >RM1000 for replacing the screen, which was damaged by itself due to software update.
Screw it! No more support from me to Samsung. Goodbye, it's been a long ride. And good luck to you all.

Hey guys, latest update of my S23 Ultra.
I decided to go to the service centre (Pandan Indah branch) to try my luck on requesting free screen replacement. Surprise surpirse. They do have free replacement campaign ongoing. However, it's not announced to the public. Don't call. You may not be able to get the correct answer on this. You have to pay a visit to the service centre to enquire. The staff don't know when is the dateline of the campaign though.
The procedure is quite simple. On Friday I left my phone on the spot, they sent it to the HQ and did diagnosis at there. Monday finished repaired and they called me to collect the phone. Brand new screen. They also reglued the back cover. Labor fee RM85 + SST.
Although I already jumpship to Honor, I am still glad to have my S23 Ultra back to pristine condition. Hopefully the vertical line won't happen again. And yes, I will never update my S23 Ultra software anymore.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ May 21 2025, 08:02 PM) I though after replace will give 3 months warranty? Well, I don't care. They didn't mention it. I didn't ask. Honestly, if the new screen get vertical line again within next 3 months, I may as well just ditch the phone and never turn back. No point to claim the warranty again and again if they can't fix the problem completely.
