After all the hype i heard about Ramos, if i were to judge him based on one game alone, he's rubbish! For a defender, he has an alarming disdain for defending doh.gif

As a Madrid fan I would be the first to say that Ramos had a very poor game by his standards. He is capable of better I can assure you. His head didn't seem there at all the whole game.

mellow.gif the last wc spain scored a lot too,but............

i think at that time they were a bit overconfident after those great initial reasults....for me complacent is spain's biggest enemy for a long time..especially in defensive area

btw, puyol had a good game imo..covering mistake prone marchena

Agreed, was surprised to seen him getting beaten by Zhirkov if I'm not mistaken at least twice. On the othe hand, Capdevilla is a rock on the other flank. Ramos seems to be more defensive for Spain, didn't see him make any runs at all although Spain have no right winger just like Madrid.

He really had a bad day , if he is on his usual form the result should be 5-1 tongue.gif at least.. dont judge him based on one game alone eh?

I see Spain heading to the semi-finals, but what happens after that is anyone's guess..... so much potential and flair but ultimately the biggest under-achievers..... but hey look at Italy and the already sent packing France. brows.gif

Todays game will be a good indicator to how far this team can go. And to be fair the decline of Italy and France wasn't much of a surprise.

euro competition is always full of surprises.
denmark and greece was a fine example of outsiders winning the tournament.
with 3 heavyweight already beaten, there is no better time for the likes of spain, holland and portugal to stamp their mark.

i think others player prefer use left wing ( silva ) than using ramos / xavi... they isolated them tongue.gif

ramos get play better this game... has better space than silva.. has been marking tightly..
