Currently riding sprint 150

Service prepare 500-1000 tongue.gif

Oil change is cheap around 80-100, tyre front and back around 800 pirelli

actually not that expensive to maintain engine, parts like mirrors and accessories is where it become money sink, a proper custom easily can hit 20k

Ride wise, very comfortable, sufficient torque, journey to pahang and kuantan from kl dont even scratch my back. Only issues is on highway is not that fast and can feel a bit too light when lorry or cars overtake

so far no issues, had it for a year now, great for town and work commute but definitely wont recommend for long journey like kl to penang

Don't think this sort of bike is designed for highway long distance ride.
And to maintain 110kmh all the way, I believe the engine will be rev very high.

I have sprint 150.
City commute ok la, but parts are expensive. Belt Chang will cost 500-1000 including engine oil. Storage underneath the seat quote small.

Then I bought nvx 150.
Better ride than vespa, faster and cheap maintenance. Better braking as well. Simple mod of the pulley can get 120-145kmh on highway easy. And I change the tank to 7litre, can ride straight 250km on 1 petrol fill.

Wanted to upgrade to Xmax 250 since I always commute on duke and nkve. But 250 not that fast.

Saving money for xadv750 hehe

none of the riders look like that tbh.

i went on a trip to penang last month, there was like a Vespa convention ? gathering? road trip? no fucking idea. But there were plenty of rempit/hipster looking dudes on vespa everywhere.

short distance really sedap n fun, long also ok la kot - subjective
just start n ciao.....recent models all no gears to fiddle around with
greatly takes the fun away but far simpler to ride - can't have everything
previous models had the kick starter, most newer ones now, even bikes for for that matter, have done away with it - cehhhhhh

always loved the action of kicking a bike to life
the simple things in life

I second that i tried ADV160 the other day and i honestly didnt feel any difference Vespa has better torque. Maybe its slightly heavy compared to other bike. And i tried Xmax doesnt worth the price for 250cc and And hear me out GTS 300 for slightly higher price is way better than XMAX

I've used Vespa and its cheaper type Piaggio, both are crap.

Both seating position too tall (I'm not short, close to 6 feet). Vespa have this unresponsive throttle feel that make it sluggish, Piaggio is very hard to turn, not sure why, maybe front tire too big but overall just not good feeling.

Could easily do anything with a Honda scooter. Italian know how to make something look good but work well, questionable. I like Ducati since I was a kid but after reading about its maintenance issues, rather not own an Italian bike

Yeah, I put my booking on xmax previously, but after tried my BIL bike, nah it’s heavy, huge and slow. But most people chose Xmax is due to its cheap maintenance and huge boots.

Still using my NVX V1, and if I want to get a bigger bike, I would just go with xadv 750.

Vespa is like mini cooper and walkswagon betel.
Only for the retro look. Only for city ride. Non of the practicality.
Built quality is good though, all metal.

Another vespa lookalike but with enough cc is the royal alloy tg250
