Anyone facing issue with their F5? Few days ago, I woke up to a dead phone (was playing with the phone before bedtime and then left it charging with a slow charger as per my normal routine).

Unable to boot up. Tried all combo (power + volume up, power + volume down, etc). Almost gave up and then it suddenly came back to life (to fastboot or something like that) when I pressed button down (or up?) + power button for a long time while watching youtube for a new phone to buy.

Is this a sign of mobo failure.

if still under warranty better send it to SC asap

No more warranty, bought in Jul last year. Ahbeng shop says if change mobo, will cost RM400 plus. Might as well buy a new phone, which no doubt is a headache as this F5 price:performance is really good (camera sucks though) and I won't buy another poco so F6 is out.

your F5 heavy or moderate usage?

If moderate/light usage then kinda sucks for a 1 year+ old phone to have mobo issue.

The only thing now is, not sure whether the phone shut itself is a one-off thing or early symptom of mobo issue.

But either way just make your back ups ready and hope that was a one-off.

My old redmi note 4 and note 9s are still working fine, so kind of surprised to experience this. "Bad things like the widely reported mobo failures in India-made pocos only happen to others"...lol.

Same thing happened to my x3 pro a few months ago. Used for 3 years already tho

Came back to life (fastboot) when I pressed and held the combo keys: volume up (or down, can't remember) + power, for a long time. Then I pressed the power button until it restarted.

Earlier attempts were not successful. Not sure whether due to not pressing and holding long enough.

Having a good run with my f5 pro, but looking to upgrade with 512gb. Any recommended? I use it for pokemon go with dual apps. And working well.

software wise, yes, hardware wise, d8300 is close enough

or can wait for POCO x7 pro. got bigger battery, newer chipset but worse camera

my mom new redmi note 13 pro plus is having issue connecting to celcom network..cannot use mobile data at all!

i just changed her old sim card to a new one, but her old sim card in her old phone can connect to celcom network without issue

the new sim card in the redmi 13 can still receive and make calls, but mobile data cannot and her APN profile is the default celcom3g

what seems to be the problem?

Bigger battery is a plus and enhance water resistance is a bonus (although for some reason not as big as china version)
