Yikes sounds like a rough patch, I would imagine employee turnover would start to increase but long service employees would lose the possibility of severance package if they resign, always a limbo/catch22 situation.
*
Most of the employees are long timers.. since it is a japanese comp...... they are not interested to do VSS / MSS at now, ...of course, that is what the management mentioned..

Expected eventhough in the sort of townhall few months ago, the top management said just an exercise to get the market excited, but remain to stay here in Malaysia for downstream. All just speculation.
*
Management would say that to avoid resignation . That's all..

Was informed over the weekend that Orsted KL is in the midst of reducing headcount and quite a few have been let go since last month..

They did not secure a few operatorships and also hired too many Engineers in 2023 / 2022.

Term used = Redundancy .

Saipem’s trying their luck with AKER for their next project. Worley already completed the detailed design for Saipem’s project, the next phase of the project was not handed to Worley.

it was at 80% progress.
Monday morning - all pulled out and was shocker to all at Worley side..

Isnt Murphy is the one that lose a court case to employee for dismissal. Even Petronas has one as well.

As long as employer pay what is required by law there shouldnt bbe any problem.

Macam ni lah bang, I want to keep the discussion healthy and fun in this thread, I have been stalking on you for so long about your grunt about Petros, I am a very open kind of person, I don't want to bergaduh too much about hentam Malaya vs Sarawak & Sabah. Because... I am a very chill person...

But of course, you did raise a good point, I concur, and I pray hopefully Petros would not be another 1MDB saga. As a Sarawakian, I really hope Petros will be govern by a good BODs and CEO.

Anyway, I will be off to KL maybe around 28th or 29th December, I am keen to reconnect to all of you in this thread, sembang2 kari together with me enjoying a whip of shisha and coffee at The Castle next to Hampshire hehe. Yes that spot is my favourites for lepak2.

Peace. Make love, and spread the love. Hehehehehehehe.

Haha to the location (Castle) in KLCC
