Most manpower company got 1 month notice period to letgo. So easy by them

Why Oil & gas seem not more lucrative and secured. Almost similar to 2017/18 era

Expected eventhough in the sort of townhall few months ago, the top management said just an exercise to get the market excited, but remain to stay here in Malaysia for downstream. All just speculation.

Same goes to those working under company that not win the MCM Project next year, HR busy-ing send letter either contact terminate/ not renew/ early termination by company

Went to Bekok A 2 years ago for 40 days, and the toilets are at outside accommodation like those days in boarding school time. Not to mention the toilets are not in good shape.

Nowadays come out those "smaller" contractor who won the bidders, and they drop the prices. Few I know interview with them, get rejected due to salary, which even smaller than their current salary.

The previous well known, big contractor who not win any project started to letgo many projects team massively.

Smell another company following the case of TransFame company who cant survive doing project cz bidding low last time.

I think the Client needs to look at the bigger picture if takes the cheapest, and if stops halfway, due to the contractor issue, they also take a hit from that, example for the TransFame case back then, engineers even not getting paid for salary for example during the case. On the contractor side, newer, smaller Contractors who had yet to taste the pill just bid to win, and when won it even with a cheap price, happy to build their Company names as one of the Client's contractors, getting the wave from news, share price etc2.

For smaller staff, engineers, who will be the ones get the kick first when the project fails, not due to technical, but financial.

I think most project development are kinda hold, kiv, pending for year 2025 and most told only will be a major at 2026 instead. Not sure how truth is that.

My buddies who come from contractor basis and join baju kuning as contract staff all are at hot seat for their contract renewal. Cz of above, they kinda give hint to letgo them first starting 1st quarter next year.
