QUOTE(LiQuID2 @ Dec 21 2022, 02:18 PM) Lol it's possible but still have to look at the price & offering first to decide. If budget is not an issue probably ppl will go for sams.Sams software update policy & speed is better than xiaomi. As well as easier to get accessories Just that the tradeoff is much more expensive pricing and more bloatware. This post has been edited by wolf1991: Dec 21 2022, 04:22 PM |

QUOTE(snicker @ Dec 22 2022, 09:28 AM) Xiaomi 13 cn unacceptable in local market with lack of 4g band B7, not only lack of support for 5g but it will affect the reception of 4g as well. actually previous xiaomi / redmi CN models especially some budget models also lack B7 support but still with B1,B3,B8 can also use CDMU LTE networks but will have lower speed (because B7 2600 has higher theoretical max speed)All local major telco(Maxis,Digi,Celcom,U-mobile) support LTE band B1,B3 & B7. |

Is this behaviour tied to phone set or it is tied to ROM ?All local major telco(Maxis,Digi,Celcom,U-mobile) support LTE band B1,B3 & B7. Eg could it be that a phone from cn when later flashed with international ROM, the problem will be fixed ? |

I think is because licensing cost bah, and also help prevent it to be smuggle out of China before global set is out |

But will likely have to wait some time, since things are very new right now. |

QUOTE(tmc @ Dec 23 2022, 07:54 AM) If there is locking then there is unlocking. Well that's only true if the spec on band supported listed on paper is incorrect. If what stated in the hardware spec on paper is true, then there is no way to unlock/get more band support simply through software mean. For example :- https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/unlock-l...3084774/page-14 I think it is a matter of time some tech guy will reveal the right way to accomplished this. But will likely have to wait some time, since things are very new right now. If hardware didn't support then there is no way for software to do the job. For eg if the phone is designed with hardware that support till wifi 5 only then there is no way for it to support wifi 6 via software mean. Upward compatibility is not possible, only downward compatibility is possible. Like wifi 6 supporting |

According to this review, these two phones Xiaomi 13 pro and Vivo X90 pro plus are very similar in camera quality.
