missing B28 = no malaysian 5g for you

actually previous xiaomi / redmi CN models especially some budget models also lack B7 support but still with B1,B3,B8 can also use CDMU LTE networks but will have lower speed (because B7 2600 has higher theoretical max speed)

Is tie to hardware. No way to unlock via software

I think is because licensing cost bah, and also help prevent it to be smuggle out of China before global set is out

because they share the same 1 inch type sensor. the difference mainly in UW/tele lens and image processing only

Unifi Mobile and yes is special, can use tdd lte (b38/b40) which china set must support because one of china carriers use the same tdd network and bands

For CN set that missing band 7 support, maybe will lose some speed. Although i believe for most areas the lte reception will be largely unaffected for CDMU (FDD lte carriers) users

Missing b28 will means will miss the 5g network support, but this might change in the future when DNB implement standalone 5g network


If you still want to get cn set then go ahead, no one stopping you anyway

Usually is just xiaomi and maybe budget oriented brands and on model to model basis


Oppo/oneplus, vivo/iqoo are not as restrictive as xiaomi because they don't have much cost / licensing concerns

that cos 13 ultra is exclusively made of silica-synthetic leather which is much lighter than glass or ceramic

some people may swear of synthetic leather because wear and tear is more apparent on that. let's see how xiaomi claimed improved material can do
