try ffdshow, but its depend of subtitle format, for what ive tested, subtitle position adjusting only works if its srt type.

Added on October 8, 2007, 11:07 pmor media player classics, but need to use VMR9 renderless or haali video renderer, both are slow if running on fullscreen mode(greater than 1024x768, might need powerfull GPU doh.gif)

if u are using media player classic, right click > filters > ffdshow video decoder > seeach for "subtitles" > then u can adjust the position by moving the "horizontal/vertical position" slider.
if the player is wmp, ffdshow filters will show up on system tray there.

just search it from "all programs" menu, but im not sure if strom codec got install ffdshow menu entry or not.
or try change the video renderer to VMR9 renderless, press o, goto "subtitle" , tick override placement, and change the subtitle position.

i don't think ffdshow edits the actual subtitle files? or does it? if it doesn't its playback only edit. if you use like, for example vlc, it would use the original style, of course not with ffdshows setting. am i right?

well, what i'm basically saying is just edit the subs. just open in notepad.

oh, you could use directvobsub. and check override placement, and choose your new parameter.
//edit
ahhhh, screw it. look picture. for ass.

yes ffdshow doesnt edit the subs, but how about media player classics? did u ever try it? both apps also can re-position the subtitles in real time, no editing is needed, and its only work with srt.

just tired with directvobsub, same as ffdshow and mpc doh.gif once re-position subs, it will change to srt >_>

ok enuf >_> im just trying to be helpful here lol.
since ts mentioned he is use srt with media player classic,
here is how to change the subtitle position,
make it simple:
user posted image
just tick override placement, and adjust the horizontal/vertical percentage.
if this doesnt work for u, just ther other forumers suggestions.
this method only work with VMR7/9 renderless.
