Don't worry about the heat, or vibration.. as long you didn't lock the throttle full every time, small cc bikes have a bearable non-nerve-wracking vibration..

For your budget and added stability get the Bajaj/Modenas Pulsar

PS: I commuted with a Harley Sportster 1200 before, so I was quite familiar with the vibration and heat generated by the bike..
