Downside of working in bank is

1. Long working hour especially you move up the career ladder
2. Bank Negara is getting more and more involved in the day to day operation, hence expect more rules imposed upon your daily operation

graduate trainee program basically is cheap general purpose kuli.
psychologically tie u as u feel needs to at least complete the program b4 leaving.
pays u entry level & tells u this is a gateway to learning.
they will throw u around different dept that temporary needs people, usually doing repetitive/tedious non important work cuz dept head also know u'll be thrown else where in few months.

there's another program that big corporates & bank usually hav, it's called "management Trainee".
basically this is for all the rich dato kids to "clock in" some "real world experience" to build their portfolio.

Next year her bos said need to promote her job grade to mgr lvl edi coz she handle lvl 3 financial intelligence…

All in all pretty stable career and great benefits eventhough the celery ktards will say is loser bracket lar.

Yup every year she get 2.5-3.5 mths bonus.

Your head lah, 'entry level'. The salary scale is ABOVE fresh grade pay in Malaysia; that's why it's so difficult to enter the program. Maybe some other ktards can correct me if m wrong, but like MT Program at Citi is starting at 4.5k monthly? Alliance is 3.5k or sthg monthly? You are literally paid to learn and get to meet senior management, get recognition. Most of the programs would bond you for 1-2 years coz they already invest so much in u.
