I dunno why you jokers are so surprised. Sounds about right to me. Mind you, Russia's own losses are just as high likely even bigger actually. No matter what they claim.

You don't mobilize 30k reserves if you only lost 2.5k which is what Russia officially admits to.

Ukraine must say they are winning for morale purposes. Pragmatically, 1/5 of they land is still held by Russia.

But outright war has alwats been decided by economics. Who can last longer than the other. And it's Russia vs US + EU here.

Doesn’t matter if it’s 100k killed or 100k casualties (30k killed + 70k wounded). These numbers mean that 100k soldiers are out of service and can no longer contribute to the war efforts.

The losses are similar to the Russian so neither sides can claim complete victory.

What's so surprising? Even the US said last month that Russian casualties are around 100,000 and the same thing probably on the Ukrainian side.
