LG washer is highly regarded worldwide

Samsung can accomodate high suds better, just don't overdose
Panasonic and Toshiba has good aftersales (parts) supply, and tahan

I've used Zanussi, Indesit both made in EU and they last for 15~20 years.
Zanussi replaced due to seal leak.

Indesit put outdoors under sun and stray cats... body rust like sh*t and still works. Door auto lock spoiled last year so it is now bypassed. The auto lock use thermal switch (heat up to lock) so after hundreds of lock-unlock will sure die.

Inverter DD are no belt. Modern washers more electronic, would be wise to invest in surge protector.

If want lasting, get good quality washers with mechanical mode selector type.

big washers have 'suspension' issues after few years, those 'shock absorbers' need to change, no joke

majority of the weight is built-in concrete blocks to hold the whole thing down, while the drum spins. I'd say easily 70~80% of a washers weight, is concrete.

Iinm, LG is the pioneer in DD thing. That was what attracted me to it. Unfortunately the LCD display konked out after just a few years.

Last time, I recall, LG service got counter fee, means need to pay an amount before carrying out any repairs. Parts are $$$.
Samsung, Pana, Toshiba macam don't have, they sub it out to certified company or technician do on site inspections.
