Ok what about the NT ? Will the modern Christian still be impacted negatively or positively on trying to study and understand the NT ?

Ok I know completely nothing about the Hebrew language nor the Jewish faith or their worldviews, so chances I am highly misled. Got it.

I am just a laity and was a lector for today's morning mass Ecc 15:15-20 and the priest was a new guy who had been transferred to our church and this morning he presided it. I understood everything he mentioned during the sermon, which frankly is the best sermon I have heard for a long time. However there was 1 part which I did not understand when the priest said this "Jesus's Sermon on the Mount is weird." He was referring to our Lord teachings especially the Beautitudes.

To be ordained as a priest, one would have to pass all the studies and found to be a sane mind, correct ? I presume that there they would have studied Hebrew language or even the Jewish faith and traditions etc to have a better grasp on the issue. Basically they like you and many here, would know more than an nobody like me.

My question is what is weird about Jesus's teachings on true happiness ? Do you find anything weird too about the Sermon on the Mount ?

Salt will lose its saltiness once it's exposed to heat for extended period of time. Thereafter, it's thrown out just like what it's written in Sacred Scriptures.

Knows too much ? Nah, nope not a damn thing. Read carefully and it's contradictions everywhere. More like confused instead of a chosen one, or maybe trying to sow the seed of doubt among Christians.

The idea is to sow the seed of doubt. Now I understand the mission of the chosen one like a lion waiting to pounce.

What blind faith ? The Word of God in Holy Bible is very clear. Question is are we clear about the Word of God. I do not care if it's written by which men because the words are inspired by God and they are perfect..Sorry I don't believe in blind faith. Believing without understanding is really a dumb idea in my opinion. Since I have been promised an Advocate, the Advocate has not failed in his or her duty yet.

You are implying that God is a communist . And yes you are right because for our God is a jealous God, it's peppered throughout in the Holy Scriptures.

Obviously you haven't heard of my Master's teaching, "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me." I see, no wonder your family comes first before God.

Or my Master teaching, "Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed". Now I say unto you, imagine the ecstacy of those who understands.

It is the same everywhere, even within the Catholic community.

While prayer is good but prayer is not everything. What is really in needed is the studying of Holy Scriptures under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The end result will be, there are those who comes in their own name and there are those who will come in the name of our Lord. How blessed are those who comes in the name of our Lord.

The Evil One will never attack his own faithful followers for our Lord says this, "If one group is fighting against another in Satan's kingdom, this means that it is already divided and soon will fall apart !"

Since the Evil One got nothing else better to do, so targets the sheep of our Good Shepherd lo.

Once someone is in tune with his or her Advocate, very soon one will be able to hear the words even before a holy person utters, because it is always the same Spirit as our Lord Jesus Christ had promised.

Not only that, as sheep will run away from unknown voices but a sheep can only recognize the voice of the Good Shepherd himself. That is why, it's imperative that all Christians must spend quality time over EVERY teaching of our Good Shepherd. Every teaching of our Good Shepherd is true, is perfect and it's understandable. The only question is, do we really understand our Good Shepherd teachings ?

All I know is that the Holy Bible is focused on the goodness of Almighty God.

If the Holy Bible was indeed about science, perhaps they should introduce the Holy Bible in schools and universities, cause they are surely missing out on the greatest science book ever written.
