Newbie cuber here too. Just using cheap cube. Last weekend went down to KL got disappointed because TRU KLCC and Midvalley got no stock for Rubik's basic 3x3x3 cube *sigh*
Want to ask here, between Rubik's original cube and those DIY from China which is better? Can I lube Rubik's original basic cube?

QUOTE(Juggerballz @ Oct 8 2009, 07:58 PM) Rubik's original is expensive because of the RUBIK'S and it is firm (not very smooth though), DIY from China is smooth (like Dian Sheng), yes u can lube the rubik's original Hmm, last time I checked Rubik's original is cost RM24 something at TRU and those DIY is RM 36 at garage sales thread excluding shipping. How come?

Bought Rubik's cube key chain just for leisure and easy for me to carry anywhere. But it easily stuck and I'm quite irritated by it. I expect something better for such expensive price *sigh*

QUOTE(chungdavi @ Nov 1 2009, 02:37 PM) I don't really understand why, but Rubik's brand cube at Toys R Us are the most expensive cubes, and yet their turnings are some of the worst turnings you can get...... Actually I'm just looking for a cheap cube keychain but didn't found it thus opt to buy the Rubik's one. Only recently to discover there's one thread in LYN Street Market selling those for only 4 bucks. I can buy like 6 cubes with the same amount from Rubiks's brand *sigh*
