My bedroom is currently using LED T8 tube lighting. Today, the LED decided to die. I buy a Philips EcoFit LEDtube T8 from my nearest convenience shop. Unluckily, there is no testing provision at the shop. I unbox it at home. It comes with an EMP starter. I guess it is meant to be used for replacing classic fluorescent with ballast setup (which is not applicable for me). I install the LED tube. It does not illuminate. I have no choice but to salvage an LED tube from my spare room and install it in my bedroom. Now it works. Does that mean the Philips EcoFit LEDtube T8 is not a direct replacement to a standard T8 LED light? UPDATE: Thanks to stormer.lyn. i re-wire my casing wiring and now the light works. QUOTE(FusionXY @ Nov 10 2022, 12:52 AM) Your tube fixture no starter right? Try flipping to another upside down. Typical led T8 casing. No starter type. I flip the tube the other way. Also not illuminate.

QUOTE(stormer.lyn @ Nov 10 2022, 01:02 PM) Philips EcoFit has the connection on both pins on one side, while "normal" LED tubes have the power on both ends of the tube. That's why it doesn't work you are right. it is single sided. besides philips, do u know other brand that is also single sided? QUOTE(stormer.lyn @ Nov 10 2022, 01:22 PM) Need to change it to this if using the Philips tube did this and the light illuminate. thanks a lot.
