Yamaha NMax 155, SYM Jet X (both available brand new). Honda PCX150 has been replaced with Honda ADV150.
What are the disadvantages of the bike that I should take in mind?
I read in a blog says scooter tires cannot punchet? That's so cool.. stil remember 20 years ago tire punchet need push the bike 😅
Scooter has less top speed than moped of same engine capacity, the only disadvantage to me. Pickup is better on scooter (traffic light winner) compared to non-modified moped.

I read in blog adv is not really cheap right? At least 15k?

Scooter tyres get punctures too.
The maintenance for scooter is need more parts servicr? Other than oil and filter still need what other?

Both the PCX150 and ADV150 will soon to be replaced by the new 160. Both will be more than the 10k budget you stated. You could explore the NVX (has ABS) from Yamaha.
Cheapest kapchai with a bigger underseat storage will be the Honda Future 125. Should fit an open face no problem. Smaller full face, maybe, depending on your head size. No point going with the Honda dash 125. The price only difference of 200rm....the Future is bigger.

This one I can answer as I ride a Yamaha Nouvo LC. No, I don't think scooters need more service parts, just different parts. You do need the belt (but normal bike has a chain) and you do need the rollers and clutch plate (but normal bike has the sprockets)
The only extra thing a scooter needs is the gear oil. But it is not expensive, under RM 10, changed every 5,000 km. Other than this, I think is the same as a normal bike.

Yes, Honda ADV150's price is on the high side.
I have shared my servicing cost here before. If one follows blindly what the shop recommends (pricey engine oils but not suitable for scooters, earlier oil replacements), yes the servicing cost is going to be expensive. I follow the service manual and my scooter still feels good, and cheap to run.

One particular thing I dislike about scooters is that due to the smaller tires they use, tramlining is much more pronounced so when riding on some road irregularities, you might get caught off guard with your bike suddenly wanting to turn one side. Also scooters are less forgiving if you lock up your wheels, so make sure it has ABS. My knee and inky motorcycle crash is when I grabbed my front brakes too hard on my VS125 and crashed at 60kmh.

True, tramlining is the reason I originally wanted to buy the heavily discounted NOS Piaggio Liberty 150. It has 15 inch wheel. But, I was scared by its maintenance costs and service supports as I am not located in Klang Valley. In the end it was Honda PCX (14") vs Yamaha NMax (13").

Honda SH 150i/300i
Step through maxi, 17" wheels front and back.
Too bad it will never see the light of day here. Ironically, available in vietnam....sold for 120k VND. rm22k for the 150cc. Its pricy, but its made to compete with the Primavera in terms of pricing.
I wouldn't mind this if they brought this in, especially with the 300 engine. While the forza has much bigger storage space (the SH has a much smaller trunk because the fuel tank is under the seat), the SH trumps it on handling and ride comfort due to the larger wheels. Have ridden it a few times, feels as close to a normal bike that a scooter can get, minus the CVT and brakes.

I have been using yamaha avantiz 125 for a few years. Very reliable, no issues at all. It can fit 1 open face helmet, I use Givi cielo 30.1. Max speed is 95 km/h, fuel is some 2.5 litre per 100 km. Maintenance is oil every 2000 km and gearbox oil every 4000, the rest is by usage or by owner’s manual timing.
I think for your usage this scooter is good enough. Can find second hand at good price, I paid 4.5K in 2018.
