This one I can answer as I ride a Yamaha Nouvo LC. No, I don't think scooters need more service parts, just different parts. You do need the belt (but normal bike has a chain) and you do need the rollers and clutch plate (but normal bike has the sprockets)

The only extra thing a scooter needs is the gear oil. But it is not expensive, under RM 10, changed every 5,000 km. Other than this, I think is the same as a normal bike.
