sport touring tyre, no confidence to lean more sweat.gif

tyre also feel more 'square'-ish compared to S21

Angel GT should be better than Angel ST?
if so, then should have enough grip to go until the edge once warm enough

my tire mileage about 5000km only, dont see any squaring so far
*
depends on riding style
for me 5000km is way too early to tell

gt2 is supposedly the upgraded version so yeah should be better

if you say so, I need to regain my confidence to lean though.. now scared already  sweat.gif

that's how i crashed
didn't have enough confident with the grip level
unless you're applying front brake mid corner or there's oil/sand, usually the rear will give away 1st during leaning
can feel that tail pulling the bike wide

Buggered my bike going downhill from Genting once before learning my lesson:

You can only go 70%-80% max on public roads because these are not controlled environments. Something is just bound to surprise you when you least expect it. Konar cun-cun ala Valentino Rossi, textbook knee-down... sekali tiba2 monyet melintas pulak... dusyummmm.... eNtah siAPa yANg saLaHhh ku tAK taHUuuuu....

Anything above 70%-80% should be done on the racetrack.

Sekarang dah tua, dah takde lagi dah asah-asah konar ni.... I ride to live, coz already got way too many other ways to die once past 50...

fuh terngiang lagu
agree, but without confident, that 80% might just be 40%. there's still plenty of grip for the tire to offer. not just for leaning, most importantly for braking. my bike doesn't come with abs so i really need to trust the tires

monyet, botol, kon (stupid plus put cone mid corner instead of before it), diesel at night (ni mmg hanat)

you use what tyres now?
*
Angel ST. on my 2nd set. it's the cheapest radial i could find
previously using Zeneos ZN62. soft compound. easy to heat up with good grip. dragged my pegs on this tire. but bias so not very comfortable
the only place i can lean is highway entry / exit
the rest all boring 100km of straight line so i prefer comfort more than grip

the GT/GT2 is cheaper on shopee now, there must be a reason the ST is more expensive, or just slightly, and I think the ST is more sporty than the GT

I got a set of Rosso2 the other day, about the same price of GT2 available but I wanted something that gives lesser mileage... I prefer sticky tyres than those high mileage boring wooden blocks

Zeneos I recall, loses grip after half its tread, not sure if you experienced the same thing

your bike only goes up to 100kph? or that's just what the speedometer shows  brows.gif

i see. i thought GT is ST but with better load bearing (for those running fully loaded) so should be more expensive. not to mention the ST is made in China. the edges are uneven for 160

no idea as only managed to clock 30k on my Zeneos then the tire got torn by who knows what. no leak but the tear keeps getting larger within weeks so decided to changed it. that's when i realized the difference between bias and radial, hence the price. no turning back

sorry i mean my daily travel is ~110km with ~100km being the highway
for that 100km i can only lean 3 times; 2 left 1 right
so prefer comfort of ST over grip of ZN62

GT came with dual compound, and you're probably right about the higher load bearing thing, ST have limited rear sizes, 160, 180 and 190/50, many older Pirelli models moved to China, and bias ones for Rosso III moved to Indonesia
bias ply tyres need to go 1 size down for the same rim width because of the construction, so you would probably need a 150

Zeneos peeling probably wouldn't hurt the performance, it's probably caused by being too long in service, maybe more than 2 years I'd guess... but it's unusual
my Maxxis kapcai had compound boundary (soft side hard center) separation crack after 10 years in service

30k mileage tyre for me is unheard of, haha... I couldn't wait to change after 5k km each time.
*
1 size down, that's new to me
but still it's very stiff
the ST able to absorb bumps better than ZN62 so bontot tak kebas sangat

suspect because i hit the reflector on the lines. those square 1. started off as small line, keeps getting longer. don't want to be stranded on highway or worse, crash so decided to change it.

current ST is at 50k. well, rode like uncle. those y15, 185 will usually zoom pass me on my way back. 5k? I'll be changing the rubber every 2 months. kopak wei
