i bought earplugs and it arrived yesterday.  Not sure if i've gotten the wrong earplugs (mack's pillosoft silicone putty earplug), but the isolation is very good. too good till i forgot to even shift to 6th gear.. The wind noise did reduce alot tho. I'm getting used to the isolation feeling. It is still quite a weird sensation for me, going to 100% road noise to like 20% road noise does feel a little eerie at times.
*
Wind noise can damage your hearing in the long run..

Trust me now I have selective hearing problem after almost 35 years of Riding experience.

Even when you have ultra quiet helmet like Schubert please do wear earplug especially for long highway travel.

those of u with carbon fiber helmets...do u get the drumming sound? especially when u wear earplugs?

i get it with my cf helmet especially when i wear earplugs... wondering if thats a bad thing. its not loud.. but its constant and can be annoying sometimes.

Ryan F9 even mentioned "twitchy carbon drums againsts ur ears" at 0.35 mark
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Mine with Xlite Carbon not drumming, but a high pitch whistle, not sure if it's because of the windshield, or the helmet design.. tried it with another helmet brand and model also on the same bike, no whistling sound..

Flip helmets generally are very noisy. MT and MHR plenty complains.

Shoei Neotec2 kinda exception here, quiet but expensive at 3k.
*
Depending on the design and the material used, HJC Flip tends to be ok, the downside on this is quite heavy, unless you take the higher end like RAPHA 90 which is light.. for me gold standard of a quiet flip helmet is Schubert C3Pro/C4 but then aside from the high price point, it has a shape of an egg.

Soft RS Taichi jacket can be put into the washing machine safely but don't forget to take out the protectors.

Thank you. What’s the relevance of having others using the same brand/model? Do they not link if not the same?
*
For The Bluetooth system, yes they universal .. either 4.2 or 5.1 version. this the connectivity to your phone/gps unit or other bluetooth enable devices.

But for intercom, which is full duplex communication between one helmet to another, many are using closed system which only can interact and paired with the same model/brand.

This would not be a problem if you often ride solo or with your pillion only. But if ride in the group you might need to consider to have uniformed intercom devices.

They don’t have a feature called universal pairing? Maybe we don’t get the mesh intercom feature only? Gonna be hard to have a complete gang on the same model intercom
*
Some premium brand has that feature, but usually it will simulate as phone connectivity using bluetooth to another intercom, so if your unit can have only one bluetooth channel meaning you only can pair with your riding buddies and not your phone at the same time.

And in the time of disconnection, it might not be auto reconnect, need to do some manual action to reconnect back at least.(the experience is not seamless)

I used Sena 20S Evo, 10C, and currently Cardo Packtalk Bold/Black.

In terms of Mesh connectivity, Cardo is better, but I guess need to compare it with Sena 30 and 50 which have never been used before. The Apps are also way better than Sena which looks like still running Java Applet.

In terms of audio quality, Sena is louder, and you can use it with a Jet or Half face helmet without worry, Cardo tends to be softer but has better (slight) bass and you need to really align it with your earlobe to get the best of it.

Almost forgot cardio has this wind self cancelling feature, so it won't pick up the wind sound while riding. It's useful for open face helmets

Yes Hodaka Motorsport, if you go there usually can ask for discount price. Just mention to the seller, not much but within range of 50 to 100 rm per riding gear. Especially if off season items.

Just don't go blasting viral it on the net, they need to jaga their own reseller...

Very subjectives.. LS2 in terms of safety they ok, got "Sharp" rating. but in terms of head size, you need to try it out first.

The trauma and Orthopedic ward at Govt Hospital is a nightmare, about 80% of the occupants came from Motorcycle accidents.

Please suit up..

If your accidents puts you in ortho ward, i highly doubt any gear is protective enough.
Scrapes and bruises can la.
If till bones broken, thats already high impact. Only smart riding can aoid that.
*
True, but not just about riding smart, luck plays a part too..

but aux lights legal x? or long as its off all close one eye kinda thing?
nak selit during jam, i should really consider aux  lights, those stand out
*
Not legal.. only your bike stock form is legal, but these days it's considered a lesser "sin" compare to loud exhaust and license plate.

Pay summon vs your life.. I rather pay...

haiyah... ok noted, aux lights i had intended to pasang, i guess it just means i have to hide them somewhere stockish looking
*
Ensure you off it while going through roadblock-prone areas such as the Toll Plaza/Lorong Motorsikal, then after clearing.. on back.

Usually, I turn on my aux light when the traffic is heavy, lots of cars are present, and during bad weather, so it is not the whole time.. just pity your Stator coil, battery and ignition system.. some LEDs can draw lots of current if not regulated.

Most of Serdang Motor gear are copies of Taichi and Komine, called benkia, starfields, and others. It's Asian Sizing so ngam2 for us.

Ok for daily usage, but for long distances or more serious riders (pushing hard) better to stick with well well-known brand.
