I was charged CPP in CIMB on July, I call to cancelled, they said they will and they will refund the charge, last few days i received charge again, I call again to cancel, the customer service help me check, and said I got call to cancel but they didnt cancel it, basically I was still charge every month for it, wtf, CIMB shady af

hmm, so far i never got such funny stuff... if it kept recurring, i'd suggest the following action:

1. call and asks how the CPP thing came into picture?

2. threaten to cancel if they dun resolve it tongue.gif

last time i signed up then once i received policy

i immediately go branch and tell them i want cancel ..i remember insurance have cooling off period for X days

managed to cancel it ..i remember the insurance is from something like Sun or Moon thing

it will charge depending on your credit balance

like every RM100 = 20sen

but of course if you paid everything before statement end..then wont kena charge

it think its like 1% of monthly bill. so if i have 1k+ to 2k monthly, its like 10 - 20 monthly

sunlife insurance... last time i kena before. they quite smart... first they'll call and explain the insurance thing to you (not yet ask you signup)... then they'll slowing ask you to confirm your personal details (basically they started to help you "register" the insurance). if not careful, then you might agreed to it and they signed it up for you. nowadays, whenever they start to ask all these info, i'll told them to stop.

That is insurance for the CC balance in case you pokai masuk 6 feet under.

You can opt out, must call to cancel.


This is the process at another bank I worked for last time.

If you opted out in first call and it wasn't resolved, lodge your complaint with BNM stating the time and date of your first call, with which agent name. 2nd call as well agent name, time and date.

CIMB will kena fark by BNM.

no, i have a debit card for CIMB for many years and its also the acc i receive my salary, so CIMB just give free CIMB Cash Rebate platinum credit card as I a long time customer for them, no need to sign up, just let me know and mail me the card
