I always renew a week ahead, so I don't have the experience needing them urgently.

Post Office received some Instructions to ask for owner IC when vehicle road tax renewed.

However this wasn't clear so some PO ask for number only, some ask for actual IC then reverted to number. Then most dropped it just ask for person doing the renewal

It depends on each person la. Like for me post office only 500m from my office and not crowded at all. Just drop by lunch time kautim within10 mins. Maybe post office is more convenient for TS also.

Yeah. The bolded part is the most important. If barely need to wait, then I guess going to post office is more convenient.

My area always crowded except for early morning on weekends.

because post office need to record down who is representing car owner to buy roadtax

Yeap true, best write down and keep your wife IC. Post office will ask for verification.

No need to bring any document. As long as you have renewed your insurance, and memorize your wife's IC as they will need it, and your own IC.

If we're going to the jpj kiosk, do we still need to renew online first? Can we just renew at the kiosk?

but actually nowadays u don't even need to bring anything
just tell the officer what's the plate number u wanna renew...they don't care who you are as long as you're paying

If your IC doesn't match the car ownership then gotta pay RM5. This is for post office.

yup

i always keep a copy of my wife's ic, just in case they do ask, but sometimes i just tell them its my wife's road tax and they are fine with it

can login already but can't find the place to renew roadtax, only can find renewing driving license
