250cc always brake your wallet. Since you're considering 2nd hand motorbike.

Currently eyeing on ninja 250 and 250sl, should i skip the single cylinder? i think i would skip the single cylinder 250SL EXCEPT cost factor.i have a 250R carb, maintenance + consumption is on the high side. Single cylinder will save some.... not to mention lighter weight. But 250SL resale value is poor. so u may buy cheap, sell even cheaper.... 250R wont go wrong (fuel injected), 7-8k is a very good price |

Get the kawasaki 2 cylinder bikes..fuel injected...dont bother with singles from any brand.... the SL are kawasakis lemons.
Servicing may cost a lil more depending on engine oil u use...but itll be reliable and will serve u well for a long time n parts will be easy to find. |

Currently eyeing on ninja 250 and 250sl, should i skip the single cylinder? For long term use and comfort , go with the two cylinder.Single piston vibrates too much. You'll hate it. Don't think the maintenance costs between these 2 is much different. |

QUOTE(Natsukashii @ Oct 25 2022, 08:07 PM) honestly no.. especially kapchais...they are cheap to run and maintain...eg (my old GT128 vs my old Z250) RM100-150 can get u a decent set of tires vs around RM400 for 250cc RM60-100 can get u a set of chain n sprockets vs around RM400 for 250cc RM50-60 service (EO n filter) vs RM150-200 thereabouts for 250cc RM600-700 for FULL overhaul vs RM2k for only TOP overhaul for 250cc This post has been edited by mADmAN: Oct 25 2022, 11:15 PM Natsukashii liked this post

KTM from 200 up to 390 parts made in India by Bajaj auto..
and assembled in Jitra - Kedah.. Have QC issues mostly with the MY CKD version, the same as those HLYM and MForce bikes.. Except for Modenas now, cos Jepun Kawasaki Heavy Industries engineers are actually on the production line to supervise the production process, spoke with one of them during the recent MOTO GP event..
