Most people suggesting Acer Nitro 5 for its value worth, but I found from MSI lazada store there is a model named GF63 thin.

Specs as below:

This one I go for model 763W-i7-11370h WITH 16GB RAM+ 512GB SSD, total RM4,299

Lazada link: Acer Nitro 5

This is MSI GF63 thin without any variation, personally I would like to go for this instead of Nitro 5. A 100+ bucks cheaper than Nitro 5 @RM4,188.50

Lazada link: MSI GF63 thin

Just want to get a peace of mind and recommendations from sifus in this forum, which choice is better in terms of after sales service and gaming quality?

pick Nitro 5 over GF63Thin anyday as it has better cooling
but your Nitro only has 1650, minimum get a 3050

GF63Thin chassis are not suitable for even an i3 in gaming/video encoding

Or wait for next sales. Legion 5 5800H abt same price (after discount), but much better spec than these 2. Or Legion 5 5600H at about RM 3.8k (after discount). Or the newer Ideapad 3 6800H.

Don't get the MSI, if you look at teardowns there's only a single fan

No point in getting higher specs if it's going to get baked by the terrible cooling and get throttled
Also don't get Asus TUF for the same reason

With that said, on the value side of things is kinda tough
Consider other models of the Acer nitro 5 too with better specs.

with the same money, there are other options for you to consider:
HP Victus & Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3.

but, i would recommend this instead: Lenovo Legion 5
it is last gen model but much better than all of the above. limited stock.

if you missed out 10.10 sales, I suggest you to wait for 11.11 as this is a much bigger sale.

Thanks for the info, I looked into MSI because both my brothers are using MSI and so far they have no problem on it. My uni mate also MSI fanboy so I do my homework starting this brand.

Actually I am waiting 11/11 sales, my current Acer Aspire 5 also waited the very same date 3 years back.

I think there is Acer community to assist in troubleshooting Acer products, thats why it comes to my mind that maybe I can look into Acer this brand for gaming.

Ok, will take note on that. YouTube seldom has these kind of comparison videos.

Yup, 11/11 is what I currently aim for gaming laptop purchase. My Acer Aspire 5 also purchased the very same date 3 years ago. Will look out for Lenovo Legion 5, anyway is 5 pro worth the value as well?

If you are budget conscious, go for the best "bang for the buck" model that suits you. All those pro moniker, RTX 3060/70 bla bla, etc won't makes a lot of difference. All laptops will have pros and cons.

Unless budget is of no/little concern, by all means your choice.

Try survey the survey satisfaction on your local available OEM service center. Nowadays almost all notebook is identical.

For current gen model, I would suggest Lenovo Legion 5i.
1. Nice build quality.
2. Vapor chamber cooling
3. Lots of type C ports
4. After sale service in Malaysia not bad.

MSI i would pick GE67/77. I don't own MSI laptop so I can't comment on after sale service

HP Victus

After getting some advise, someone told me that laptop are just like cars, not necessary to go for more than 4k if not playing 3A games, so I think this will be a better choice for me as some also suggested me looking into hp victus and lenovo ideapad gaming.

My brother use MSI GF63 thin, he did mention to me that the laptop easily overheated and cooling efficiency not that good.

Main reason I choose HP Victus is mainly due to 11.11 Lazada sales promotion, able to get such specs with only 3k+, if not I will go for Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3.

For those who interested, I just put the link here for Ideapad Gaming 3: Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3?

Won't recommend any laptop with the Core i7-11370H. That's just 4 core despite being an i7. For around RM4K better get this: https://shopee.com.my/ASUS-Tuf-Gaming-A15-(...f8-c5feec5a8053

Lol, I can't even get a RM3k budget laptop, not fast enough to grab it. Need to relook other choices.

You better off getting RM4k+ models
At least RTX3050Ti GPU
If thunderbolt is not an issue get ryzen models (for now)

Great cooling (using exotic thermal paste, Honeywell PTM7950, less risky than those liquid metal ones while still being near that tier of cooling)
price to specs also decent

It's been really popular for the past few years

Echoing the crowd, think you should go for nitro 5 if we were to compare between the two models listed. But legion 5 is also a comparable model, you could consider watching those comparison review videos for more certainty on what might be more of your preference…
