keekee, just a note to you that my iPod cable are the original bundle with my ipod, not RM5 china made cable ya.

I have converted seasons of TV shows, that's why I can't stand Quicktime. It's not convenient enough and far too slow even on a dual core machine. Best compromise is still Visualhub on my side, with the best options turned on.

I personally don't have a Turbosim simply because it's far too expensive and I'm still on Maxis which means spending money for nothing until Maxis fixes their problems. I do know people who are using Turbosims on their iPhones though. I checked on Ebay and the Turbosim prices there are insane, $140-200 or almost half of what most people pay for their iPhones. The telco bit is true and valid as well.

Oh I wish Malaysia had mobile number portability.

I don't think it'll happen anytime soon. Let's be realistic, if MNP is to be announced sometime very soon, the news would be full of it. The telcos would be complaining that their profits will drop, MCMC will be making big announcements to the public etc.

MNP will not happen in Malaysia in 2008. As a Malaysian consumer, we're consistently being screwed by the companies and the govt. That's my prediction

Like anything that leads to opening up the market compared to a market base on performance not "inside help" (read: Proton), this will only get delayed until the profit margins of these "few people" who wants their "periuk nasi" to be kept full and not challenged with, have their guarantees that they remain profitably fat in the long run. Which is why i see, it will never happen, unless the compromise benefits "these people" and when this happens, the consumer have to bear the brunt of the burden.

That's how things work in Malaysia anyway. 50 years of independence in deed!

there are tons at eBay. I have seen some good leather ones but I prefer something that doesn't add the thickness of the phone. The skin I am using now is pretty thick since there's extra "space" for headphone (roll and plug in). It's hard to explain that thing.. sigh.

Also, as the screen is already scratch-proof. I always feel scratch-resistant cover is redundant.
