apparently not, although they now have access to some of the file system with FW 1.1.1

Does anyone here know anyone who can unlock a phone with the supersim or turbosim method. I have heard that these are the *only* working ways to get the phone working with FW 1.1.1

Please let me know if you can do the unlock, and for how much, thanks.

FYI the Turbosim method will work, but the Maxis call in problems still exist even with Turbosim. The Turbosim alone is > RM350 on top of the price of your iPhone, plus delivery from Bladox is slow since demand is so high.

Yes I can make your iPhone work with the Turbosim method, but you have to get your own Turbosim.

my buddy got his turbosim for about rm350. But it went out of stock, not sure they have stock now. FW1.1.1 works, but no 3rd party app.

Really getting a lot of attention with the phone.
Except for non tech savvies. They give weird responses.

Me : *playing with my iPhone*
Friend: Wah, what phone is that?
Me: It's an iPhone
Friend: iPhone? What brand? Good ah?

I checked Bladox's website, they have stock but they said it'll be late. I don't know if it's worth getting one especially if the Turbosim is delayed until after a free unlock is available Kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it.

is iphone already can be use on CELCOM? any celcom hacker here?

well, yesterday download my email fr iphone, using EDGE, with attachment about (2.5MB), huh, i think tat 1 will cost me more than rm25 per mail lo.....nt dare to update my gmail using EDGE next time d...

For us EDGE is not cheap. THe unlimited data package isn't cheap as well..So stay clear from using EDGE/GPRS unless you really need it

below are few points that i feel that use iphone as my pda rather than a phone:
1) no mms
2) bluetooth cannot pair to other device (only headset)
3) cannot send multiple sms recipients / forward sms
4) camera cannot take video / zoom
5) no 3g/video call

but in conclusion, the super cool interface already can overtake all the above issues tongue.gif

I'll be getting my phone close to the end of the month, so hopefully by then there will either be a 1.1.1 unlock, or i'll have to resort to turbosim (or my phone will hopefully be ver 1.0.2). If so, i'll be in touch with you tishaban, thanks

question here...

1. when malaysia releases iPhone, can all current users update the phone and use the local telco without unlocking?

2. when the hacking team manage to hack 1.1.1 FW, can current 1.0.2 users update their phones to 1.1.1 (it'll be lock after tat right?) then unlock it again and continue using it?

these 2 questions are really bothering me...can someone enlighten me??
