Yeah, Utd got battered yesterday, probably some blame on ETH for allowing the selection of some players, such as VDB. He probably should come in as a sub, not as a starter. Don't seem to recall him coming to help.

And CR7, is no longer a deadly spear. Look at how many times, he just sulked and turn his back. His control is no longer good, his 1-2 touches, lead to turnover possession.

Don't buy into the whole easy-media-pundit play well or didn't play well.

VDB's positional use of space has been very good even when he joined us. The problem always has been that his runs and movement are often not utilised by his teammates. Either they are not good enough to spot him, or are making personal decisions not to find him.

With the focus on individual players now, a good question mark is in Jadon Sancho. Ole chased him for megabucks for over 2 years and once he joined us, he's even lost his place in the England team. While I don't think it is completely Sancho's fault as the way United plays don't yet suits him, it is another prime example of United buying square pegs and try to squeeze them into round holes. And remember, Sancho was supposed to be the silver bullet to our right flank problem when we were after him.
