Alwi”s Food @ U20 Shah Alam ( TSB Sg Buloh)

Tried their Spaghetti Goreng Kampung with Duck Breast & Linguine Carborana with grilled Chicken Breast - both are good.

Ordered sphagetti goreng kampung with grilled chicken breast topping. The quality was consistent & good.


Tried also the Cantonese Yee Mee, it was surprisingly good.

The lunch set menus that come with the drink is value for money. The taste for the nasi lemak & ayam goreng cannot beat Village Park but it tasted good enough.

Fareed Bistro @ Saujana Utama

Took 2 pieces of fried chicken , 1 portion of curry mutton , 1/2 portion of rice, gravy mix , 1 thossai rawa, 1 air kosong & 1 teh o ais limau. Price at RM 24.50.

This is one of the above average mamak foods at reasonable price in town. Highly recommended.

Nyonya Cendol Cafe @ Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya

Ordered high calories nasi lemak nyonya ayam berempah & cendol.


The cendol was good. 8/10


Nasi lemak Nyonya appearance look presentable.


The moment I flipped the fried chicken & saw the double frying of the cut chicken, immediately I knew my lunch was screwed.

To the F&B operator out there, serving cut fried chicken with double fried is a taboo !!

Overnight fried chicken will cross customer mind. 😤

The lamb ribs was tender & moist. Consistent even after a few visits. The side dishes also good. Last few month average RM65/pax, recent visit average RM80/pax.

Nasi Lemak Village Park @ Damansara Jaya. This nasi lemak outlet so far the best in my opinion in term of the taste, consistency & pricing. Reached there by 8am & there was no queue yet.






They accept cash only , please take note. No e-Wallet no credit card or debit card. Only cash.



Still can”t find any nasi lemak that can dethrone VP at this moment.

Makan Time @ Kota Damansara

Tried the chicken hor fun. Both the appearance & taste was giving the lasting impression. Still surprised that the halal version can taste so good.

Quite pricey. Selling at RM 15/bowl but the quality of the broth , hor fun, shredded chicken breast & the medium size prawns, I”ll said it is worth the price.







The cendol was sold out, will return for the cendol another time.

Patin Place @ Puchong. Went for lunch for 7 pax. Ordered their signature dishes - Pahang”s river fishes.

Ikan Krai goreng bawang ( around 2kg the fish), costed RM 188.00 for the Krai fish. Rated 10/10.



2 Patin Buah cooked with tempoyak ( fermented durian paste), a signature dish from Pahang. The 2 fishes costed RM 198.00. Around RM 99.00/ fish. Rated 9/10.

Both the fish dishes tasted very good. In term of value , Krai won over the Patin buah.



Other dishes ordered are as below .


Sambal seafood . Rated 8/10.


Kangkung goreng tepung - so crunchy. Rated 10/10.


Sotong cili api - a bit let down this one.


Mango salad tenpoyak -rated 8/10.


Kailan Ying Yong - the crispy fried leave was ok but the stern was a bit letdown because it was too soggy.



Total damaged around RM820. Average RM 117/pax.

Salted at Mutiara Damansara for the Sarawak's Kolok & Bihun Belacan















The kolok mee taste can pass, it may not be as good as the non-halal version but it is above average.

The bihun belacan was abit unique, I find it good but other find the taste too strong.

Average around RM 20/pax.

Ambient = 8/10 ( naturally ventilated, quite comfortable )
Value = 9/10

Sate Kajang Retro


The highlight was this one. Bihun goreng generous portion + telur goreng + 2 satay ayam + prawn crackers + 1 air sirap for only RM 5.00 !.

Seriously not a joke, no controlled quantity daily like Penang's nasi kandar.

Fruity Cake & Bakery (Apple Talk) @ Pandamaran, Klang











Went there for dapao. My kids just loving them so much. RM 30.32 for the apple strudel & RM 19.61 for the cream horn (5 pieces)

Andra Gula Cakery @ Puncak Alam . They have multiple locations. The average dining price RM 40~60/pax.







The food rating = 7/10
Ambient = 7/10
Value = 6/10.


At this pricing, it was just pale in comparison over Kenny Hill”s Baker. KHB will offer better value.

O Mak Sey @ Seremban 2, N9. They are serving authentic N9's cuisine. Ordered the following :-




1. Tulang Rusuk SEY - RM 38.00 / per serving. The ribs were so tender & flavorful. Must try bestseller - I approved


2. Daging Salai Masak Lemak Cili Api - RM 38.00/ per serving. N9 masak cili api is one of signature cooking. Must try bestseller - I approved


3. Rendang Pucuk Pegaga , RM 19/ serving - this one very unique, can't find at any other places yet.


4. Gulai Cili Api Siput Sedut - RM 29/ serving - this average to me, can skip coz not better order more Tulang Rusuk SEY.


5. Rambutan Saga - RM 12/ glass. Also can skip in my opinion.

Value = 9/10.

This F&B is giving the vibe like The Table & Apron or Compassion's style restaurant at the PJ.

Cookies & Ginger ( C&G ), very famous among Johorean. Located at One Sentral Apartment @ Iskandar Puteri, Johor.


Grilled chicken chop - very generous portion.


This loft was very unique! Crispy & crust outside but fluffy inside ! 10/10 👍👍👍


My newly found makan buddy ordered burger & the portion was so generous!
