QUOTE(Baconateer @ Oct 3 2022, 04:51 PM) sorry mistake the psvr 2 connector is propriety which the cable connect it but the other end of the cable is using normal USB-C port to connector to ps5 so in theory still can work with pc as the the cable connector to pc will still be using the USB C port connector problem is can pc detect or not hahaha |

QUOTE(MasterConfucion @ Sep 30 2022, 08:04 PM) Then other vr is better right because they don't need another hardware? Oculus quest and Pico is standalone and can play already Not True.1st. No more Oculus. is now called Meta Quest 2 2nd. Meta Quest 2 can play standalone. But... if you wanted to play the best VR Games... u need a Powerful PC. (3060 equivalant.) 3rd. Best VR Library is Steam VR. I am a Quest 2 User. Honestly, without a Good PC, Quest 2 is just meh. PSVR? who? PSVR2? Who? PSVR is a joke. 1080p RGB (960 × 1080 per eye; 90–120 Hz refresh rate) All the game u play with PSVR look like minecraft ( resolution too low ) PSVR2? Is a bigger Joke ( now ) PS5 itself has a laughable library. PS5 VR Titles??? If anyone familiar with VR, they wont consider PSVR at all. Why? 1 more thing : If you have a Powerful PC. You can turn "Almost" Any Game into VR. Example : Elden Ring in VR. Alot game can be "TURN" into VR in PC. Cyberpunk 2077 too. Current State, best experience is ( Any PC Supported VR ) + PC ( Quest 2 is cheapest among them + standalone ) |

QUOTE(squall_12 @ Oct 4 2022, 08:55 AM) wait till psvr2 release and games support then only said lar you can have the best spec VR hw out there, but without the sw supports from the devs? it's as good as an expensive paperweight PSVR1's library is pretty small compared to the rest, it will be difficult to push the sales of the hw without a good library, most of the PSVR1 owners regretted buying it after a while due to limited supported content and judging from the spec of PSVR2? it won't be as cheap as the PSVR1, probably it will cost around RM2k when launched here, that's the cost of another PS5 console there. then it's another chicken & egg situation here... low adoptability rate will discourage more dev to come onboard to develop PSVR2 contents, low contents will discourage more sales, then Sony sweeping PSVR2 under the carpet like what they did with PS Vita |

The market REALLY DONT need another Ultra Highspec VR. Quest 2 by far is the only Hardware driving the Entine VR Gaming community.... in VR Gaming industry, u need : 1. Nice VR but at very affordable Price. ( Quest 2 only, HTC,MS,Samsung all helang price ) 2. High Number of user. ( Quest 2 Highest ) 3. Attract more dev to create VR Content ( You need user quantity ) Bonus VR with multipurpose ( Quest allow connection on PC/laptop open tons of possibilities ) PSVR? for Playstation ONLY ![]() PS5 = low user count. every PS5 user = PSVR2 user??? No, i guess less than 1% will convert into PSVR2 unless Sony Inhouse, if you are dev, which platform u choose to develop your next VR title?? Playstation itself already in Dead End, as Xbox play a different tactic in console market (subscription) Steamdeck, Switch already tell next big console = Handheld.... VR will continue to live in PC space. https://www.statista.com/statistics/265018/...platform-steam/ |

PSVR has PC support albeit limited so I'm hoping Sony will fully support it on PC too so that it can compete with other PCVR/Quest considering the price will be more or less same like Quest 2.
I'm actually using my Q2 for cheap alternative to motion capture to create animations for my games. |

QUOTE(cycheah @ Nov 3 2022, 09:47 AM) unless Sony make it 100% compatible on PC, else they gonna have a very hard time selling them with that pricebut knowing Sony, if they make it 100% compatible on PC, meaning that's the lost revenue on potential software sales on PS5, so it's very unlikely they'll do that the most will be unofficial 3rd party supports on PC anyway...the diehard fanbois are already defending the price and kept comparing with PC my prediction is Sony will have no choice but to reduce the price after a short while due to lackluster sales due to limited contents, small PS5 ownership, expensive... and die a slow death just like PSV |

If comes to gaming, i would rely more on my PS4 pro/ PS3 and N. switch. |

QUOTE(cycheah @ Nov 16 2022, 10:42 AM) 1 matter undeniable that we still wanna try new stuffs as VR is always a dream to gamer. time & energy bro... that's something we lacked once you've crossed the "threshold" wow... this makes me wanna try meta quest 2, trying to look for 2nd hand 64gb since i'm a light gamer nowadays. but if require to works better with PC for better graphic games, i might consider wait for PSVR2 as i have a 7 years old PC with average spec enough for me to watch movies/ anime and browse internet. If comes to gaming, i would rely more on my PS4 pro/ PS3 and N. switch. gaming wise... sometimes you just don't have the mood or energy, sometimes I stared at all my consoles and look at the game libraries deciding what to play, then they stared back, then I decided just go to bed Zzz... |
