I have no issues shooting the breeze but i got bad experience with some older folks. The more animated they are on the subject, their concentration slips on the road. Last minute breaking, lane change. Dont make for a pleasant ride

unker when get on grab will 1st make sure driver know where to go, then take out earbuds enjoy my phone.

I give extra tips to drivers who know how to keep their mouth shut, rather than talking stuffs that I dont want to discuss with stranger

I don’t understand why this is made into a feature? I think most drivers get the cue if you’re not keen to talk. There’s only one time I had to tell a white lie to the driver that I’m having a headache and I want to nap a while.

Pleasantries aside, it's quiet enough for me on a ride.

But once i had to politely ask the uncle driver to concentrate on the road...he had been kinda straining and struggling to make conversation.

The reason for this feature is to make it more obvious beforehand that the passenger doesn't want to have a conversation at all

Before u try to say something like "why not put in remark" "drivers will get it" blah blah blah, let me remind that not all drivers read the remark and not all drivers know how to read the atmosphere, some drivers which are too talkative will still try to start a conversation and then expect you to respond and then it will become more awkward if u don't respond, of course it is ur right to not respond at all but not everyone is able to do it due to manners and shit

Having this feature, I can indirectly tell the driver to be quiet and focus on the goddamn road, saves myself from all the awkwardness.
