The reason for this feature is to make it more obvious beforehand that the passenger doesn't want to have a conversation at all

Before u try to say something like "why not put in remark" "drivers will get it" blah blah blah, let me remind that not all drivers read the remark and not all drivers know how to read the atmosphere, some drivers which are too talkative will still try to start a conversation and then expect you to respond and then it will become more awkward if u don't respond, of course it is ur right to not respond at all but not everyone is able to do it due to manners and shit

Having this feature, I can indirectly tell the driver to be quiet and focus on the goddamn road, saves myself from all the awkwardness.
