Today is the day! Got my clear Case with MagSafe and screen protector at Machine

GSMArena has published their review of the 15 Pro Max.. Their take on the viral heating issue: -

"Lastly, we did read reports of overheating iPhones, some during fast charging. For this review, we used two iPhone 15 Pro Max units, obtained from different retailers, and neither of those became unbearably hot even after an hour of GPU stress testing. Warm, rather unpleasantly (but not concerningly) - sure, but hot - never. We know people have experienced and documented such issues, but we haven't been able to replicate those so far on our units."

And they added: -

"While we have not experienced any overheating issues, some people have, and we believe there is some software problem that needs to be taken care of. Here is hoping Apple will fix that soon."

Collected mine and no cosmetic defect whatsoever. But the Hoda screen protector have a weird adhesive issue / defect and it’s clearly visible across the dynamic island area, tried the second piece also same, ended up change to other brand.

Spoke to Apple directly via phone, after 2 hours on the line being transferred around, finally the senior supervisor/ manager took over the case and told me he saw those pics and he would personally return it if its his unit, scratches are obvious and absurd, he reassured me they will contact maxis to issue a replacement. He said Maxis is not their accredited resellers like Machines/ Switch etc, they are third party so it will take a while. He will go directly to maxis's dispute team, which handle cases like these, and get them to send instruction to the stores directly to issue replacement. I'm expecting 2-3 weeks for these...

its mostly waiting and waiting lol, and 1800 is toll free so no bomb..
the scratches were quite bad in person, its as if I put it on a rough surface and force scratch it on purpose....normally I would just suck it up if its not much.... imagine the feeling of holding it yet need to return and wait for couple more weeks...

and yes thats exactly what Apple said, no way we pay for new phone and unbox to see scratches like these, the manager I spoke to said he is a consumer himself and would make a fuss over similar issue...especially paying for a product well over a thousand dollars..

Really unacceptable for such an expensive device. Reminds me of iPhone 5 problem last time which they fixed in 5s. But this material is just to fragile, its matter of time before it scratches especially when sliding in cases..bummer

so the installation issue should be very minimal

Apple do not provide international warranty for iPhone.  hope you don't mislead ppl. the closest one can get is with Apple Care+, warranty to those countries with it.

normal warranty claim within 1 year i guess it should be fine.

but whether apple care+ claim beyond 1 year normal iphone warranty will be unlikely to be honoured by all countries especially not all countries offered apple care+. 

however, maybe due to the close proximity between countries, one who bought apple care+ in lion city may still be able to claim apple care+ (although bolehland did not offer it) in bolehland?

Likewise. 14 Pro, I had major issues with my 14 Pro bought from the US. As I spend most of my time in the UK, I tried to get it swapped out by calling their specialist but they would not budge. Asked me to ship it back to the US. Finally, took it into the Genius Bar at Regent St and they honoured the warranty and swapped it out. Used to be easier but I think now it's a more case to case basis. This year, I got my phone from Malaysia so hopefully no issues in time to come.
