Just now went to Immigration and queue up for 1 hr +, only to be told go home and apply online. I apply online, but it said got finger print problem, need go Immigration to scan fingerprint only can process

Go Immigration, the counter close, tell me come again other day. Sad, so I need to apply time off with company on weekday to go again just for thumbprint, and probably need to take another time off after they lulus. No more same day passport renewal anymore ?

Deswai I already said apply online first the only go to the chosen office to pick up after a day or two. Thumb print problem also gets solved and can get passport on same day

can get passport same day after scan thumbprint ? the site say need thumbprint to process, i dont know how long is the process

Gomen don't want people to go abroad and spend money.

You didn't plan your flow correctly... so nothing to blame about and then finger print issue probably also not very common problem... just mere bad luck I guess... besides... 1+ hr consider short queue...

Anyway, I got my passport in less than 1.5 hour... after applying online a week before. still ok la...

I already upload photo and paid the money, just scare they suddenly reject photo or something, I follow the guide just the dimension not very accurate, but the site say they got auto crop function, fingers crossed

can did for both my wife and myself, my wife one kena said need verify thumbprint, went to UTC at night nobody, verify thumbprint then process renewal passport, less than half an hour

745 que, 1215 get my passport. Barely made it before the friday prayer break.

Got my passport photos taken on Friday, submitted renewal application online and paid.

Received email on Monday that my renewal sudah lulus.

Went to UTC (Komtar, Penang island) at 2:30pm, queued up to get a number at 3pm.

Number was called at 4:30pm, went to the counter and the officer said that my mykad needed to be replaced first.

Went to the JPN counter, took a number. 15 minutes later, it was my turn. Photo was taken, paid RM10 and then told to wait 45 mins.

Collected my new mykad at 5:30pm, went straight back to the passport collection counter.

Got my new passport at 5:40pm.

This one ok lah, you got new passport and IC at same day.

I submitted and pay on the first day, then around 20-30min i received a confirmation to proceed collection on the next day.

i went 7am in the morning wait for the queue (8am they start working), it took me 1hour to collect and everything, smooth process

Go to Mini UTC Keramat. Polite folks and they allow walk in renewals provided you show proof that you tried to renew online and you couldn’t.

Best of all the crowd isn’t as crazy as Jalan Duta.

I agree. Not the most ideal experience but it was better than I had expected.

Process smooth , thank you Immigration UTC KL

1. Done photoshop passport , applied online, finger print error
(2/3/24 Saturday take photo, apply and gotten reply at Monday 4/3/24 about finger print error)

2. Reach over there at 8:30am, no need take QMS code , go counter 1, present :
-ic
-receipt
-old passport
-email reply ( if they ask )

3. After they check the 3/4 item, they will give u 2 piece of paper with same queue number

4. When it is your queue number turn, go to the counter and have your finger print register and present IC, email , receipt and old passport, after that they will take the old passport and ic to process

5. they will tell u to wait for 30 minute-1 hours -2 hours then refer to counter 10/11, depend the queue number , u might need wait longer , they will take the queue number , remember u had 2 piece of same number early ? they take the 1 for themselves , remember there is no need to do QMS queue number !!

6. after the long wait, when it is your queue number turn , u pass them the same queue number u had early , they will ask u to do finger print scan again and check the details in the new passport and sign once confirm. They will return the old passport which is look like damaged meaning that cant be used but it will be useful when i go outside country because sometime they ask to see old passport ( refer to the viral news korean case where they rejected a malaysian person because they didnt bring old passport )

7. u are done and off you go to do work, earn money and travel

May be go to small town's UTC to have it done. Mine took 1 hour from beginning to having passport in hand.
