is not the best way but unfortunately sometimes the coolant need water premix volume loss is due to water loss, and concentration goes higher and less effective as coolant, add water is good add coolant is bad Thrust liked this post

Shopee also got sell. Or you can get from those water machines as long as its RO.
Usually in my car i go for 60:40 ratio of coolant to water. |

QUOTE(bo093 @ Sep 22 2022, 08:13 AM) spritzer distilled, so 99 speedmart should have it. Yes, 2 different process, but the end product is 99.9% pure water which is good enough for application demanding for either.or find spare part shop, battery water are distilled water. or better yet, buy premixed and save the hassle. reverse osmosis =/= distilled water 2 different process. Next, do not assume battery water (that you can buy in market) as distilled water. The genuine ones added electrolyte (ie.mild acidic). Only the fake ones are RO/distilled water. 20cents a liter, pour it into a bottle with nozzle can sell RM2.50 |

Personal experience - Just use filtered water + coolant good enough. Usually i buy normal RO water or use house water filter for drinking to fill up. i always choose the middle route, so 50:50 for coolant & water ratio. Already doing that method for years and no rust for my cars even more than 10 years. (Usually i change coolant around 5 years or 100k).
If money not an issue, nowadays people are moving to waterless coolant. Just google/fb about Evans waterless coolant. This post has been edited by littlefire: Sep 22 2022, 10:40 AM |

If you really want diy daily do drive your vehicle Go service center buy the genuine long life coolant, drain the old radiator coolant on bucket or ruin the environment Refill any water you want start the engine let it run for another 2 minutes until water is clear Tighten everything replace the drain nut oring, fill in the coolant mix the water, start your engine wait until no bubble, close the cap, next day or 3rd day refill water again if needed because thermostat not opening yet during change Coolant RM 35 , tap water aiks tak tahu macam mana kirae After that yearly drive or not just replaced it , coolant is very damm cheap thing, no need so much hassle RO water lah, diamond water lah just bs babisotong liked this post

It is ok to add in distilled water for loss coolant due to evaporation.
It won't do any harm provided you replace the coolant probably after 3-5 years. |
