If for bathroom of 50sf and 9' walls, labour (exclude hacking old tiles) + screeding (waterproofing not included) + material (exclude tiles) will be about +/-RM5K(lumpsum).

got this tiling quote from my contractor, for a wet kitchen extension. would like to know if it's reasonable?

Floor tiling labour w/o tilesĀ  20' x 5' RM 1200
Wall tiling labour w/o tilesĀ  50' x 10' RM 5000

if by reading the previous postings, seems on the high side?

Hi all

Saw the above posts in another thread but let me know if this is not considered a new topic because couldn't find wet works thread apart from advertisements smile.gif

So I want to re-do an existing small room.

Floor 3m x 2.4m
Wall 2.5m height

I found a super good contractor and I like his work so far. Not cincai and very neat/tidy.

RM3500-3800 a good/fair price for all-in ?

- Some minor floor hacking required (Currently just carpet over concrete)
- Painting walls
- Plaster ceiling
- Screeding
- Tiles provided (not China ones according to my contractor)
- Re-do any necessary wiring and install downlights ( I buy this my own )

Max your contractor earn is 3.8k. If you like his work, go ahead .... that is the important consideration.

If is cheaper by 500 from another contractor, you may worry whether he will do a jood job.

Just dont pay a high deposit b4 starting a job. A good contractor can turn bad overnight.
