Just received a new TNG card with NFC topup function from a family member. Now my dillema is to used up all the balance in the existing card first before shifting to the new card. I suppose we couldn't transfer the balance from old card to a new one right?

I am thinking of just use it on toll until it run out of credit but that will leave maybe a few cents to 1-2 ringgit. Not to mentioned it's quite troublesome as I need to estimate the amount of toll to avoid the problem of insufficient balance.

Does anyone know the best way to used up all the balance? I dun think there're other places we could use the card for payment except toll and parking now, and parking always require minimum balance in card.

U may report lost Card to TNG and ask them transfer back the money to your bank account, but if u do this, u can't use back your Card already.

You just submit online to terminate the card, and they will transfer to the remaining amount to your bank account or my bank account if you so wishes

One year is quite long. Pretty sure I'll forget about it by then. I think if report it as lost then shouldn't need to wait that long?

ive never tried it myself but you should be able to just request to transfer the balance to your bank account. no need to lie. the money in the TnG is still our money and we have the right to request it be transferred.

another thing you can do is to just keep using the old card until the money is depleted. toll/parking/food.

Noted. Seems like the best way is to request for refund. Will try it out.

If you don't want to use the old card anymore, request for e-refund on TnG website. You can transfer to bank account or your TnG e-wallet. The whole amount will be transferred out but the card will be dead after that, cannot be reactivated in future.

Since you are using the new NFC card, you may wish to transfer to your TnG e-wallet, then you can top up your NFC card from your e-wallet.

Done e-refund a few times already, fastest about 1 week to receive the money, longest about 1 month (no reason given for delay, just have to email Customer Service every other day until got my money back).
