hi Lowyat forumer, I got my LC 135 v8 currently original is come with Vee rubber Tayar Hadapan 70/90 – 17 Tayar Belakang 80/90 – 17 I plan to change to Pirreli Rossa Sport Tayar Hadapan 80-/90 – 17 width larger so more stable Tayar Belakang 90/80 – 17 width larger so more stable But my question is if change the tayar width larger will much slow up the pick up? As I always ride short distance only, always in slow speed pick up never highway before. If change tayar abit large wont affect the pick up , of course will choose go for large width. Please advice , noob biker here This post has been edited by jackchong890: Sep 16 2022, 12:54 PM

Changing your tire size also means you are affecting the FC also and can change the handling of your bike more dramatically than it would on cars.

bigger is not stable but, if u feel they are stable, then go ahead, it is not wrong
70F 80F to 80F 90R won't affect much

It won't make much difference but the bigger tyre will be heavier so it will sap into whatever 10hp you have on the engine.
Wider tyres are not necessarily more stable. Many factors like carcase design, compound, and thread is more important for "stability" than just width. The "stability" you may feel mostly comes from the heavier tyre but that also makes the bike less agile.
A big ADV bike only uses a 90/90 front.
