Recently came across with this brand that claimed they are from Germany. The supplement stores around my area (Kuching, Sarawak) are also selling their products on the shelf.

However, the price for their product and the lack of information over the internet on them made me a bit skeptical. Hence I am asking for the reviews and opinion for this brand.

Anyone can shed some lights? biggrin.gif

Too bad that the ON is always out of stock at my local supplement stores. If order through online then I have to pay for the ridiculous shipping fee cause I am staying in East Malaysia. cry.gif

just to share few findings
-the address location of the website is a shared office space in germany. you can google it out. it could be HQ or something since its german language i can't do more than google...
-the halal cert published certified the ingredient they use from certain sources e.g arla source and not their whey per se. e.g halal cert on nutri whey 800 but i don't find this product in the website.. probably their whey is from this nutri whey 800.

what i have seen before but does not imply the same is locally made products but register brand at oversea. marketing will say its oversea brand.

their protein itself .. i just look at king whey.. my comment would be
- good profile based on supplement facts. 32g with 26.1g protein
- i don't see the ingredient list. ingredient list should be publish per flavor and this is important to me at least. you can look at the tube at the shop. it should specify the ingredient list.

my personal opinion, we should support newly established or new products as long the info published is sufficient and honest. else find reputable brand. so far i source my protein from ON, myprotein and lushprotein.

I did checked with my local supplement store about Muscle Kingdom. They said this is a new brand so it's normal to have very limited information on the internet. They assured me that MK product is safe to consume.

There are a lot of 'new' sellers selling ON at Shopee Lazada at a much cheaper price. I know the brand is reputable, but not these sellers.
Wonder if these are imitation whey

I decided to give Muscle King a try first. Hopefully it is not a scam product.

Couldn't find this brand on google selling anywhere outside of Malaysia. Reminds me of a brand called WHEY DEPOT that claims it has a FDA-approved facility in Texas, but upon checking in the FDA database, no results are shown. No other country outside of Malaysia is selling WHEY DEPOT as well. Link to the whey depot discussion https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/5164308

I wouldn't spend my money on brands that I've never heard of, and that has no information that can be found online. It may not harm or kill you, but who knows the contents inside? Perhaps it's just Milo or any other choco powder used in a "packaging" that calls itself "whey protein". Not unless you sent it to a lab for verification smile.gif

My advice? Go for a legit reputable brand from shopee or lazada official store. ON and MyProtein has their own online shop there.

Yes, the uncertainty towards this product makes me decided to send it for a lab test soon. Will finish it and buy a more reputable brand.
Beside ON & MyProtein, how about VitaXStrong? I have been hearing about this brand for quite some time too.

Before you invest in ANY protein, you might want to see if they contain the following ingredients:
- saccharin
- acesulfame
- neotame
- aspartame
- sucralose

Especially the last 2, it's the result of inventing pesticides.

Please post the lab test here when you managed to get it! I'm really curious about such local brands as well.

As for VitaXStrong, there isn't many results shown in google. But a search on Google shows that it's a Thai brand, but "claim" they're from the US.

Muscle Kingdom & WHEY DEPOT - Malaysia brands, but "claim" it's from the US

VitaXStrong- Thai brand, but "claim" it's from the US

So I have no clue about the legitimacy of such brands, but the false marketing/ frauds about its origin, further solidify my stance in avoiding them at all cost.

ON, MYPROTEIN, Dymatize, BSN, Cellucor, BPI, MuscleTech, Gaspari, BioTech, and MusclePharm are few of the brands that I can think of, that has been in the market for a long time now. Been using myprotein for years now, since it's the cheapest per g of protein that I've found.

Because my local supplement stores are mostly selling those "x" brands. They seemed like lack of interest in bringing in those reputable brands such as ON, Dymatize, Myprotein, and keep on saying "out of stocks".

Besides, the price gap is too huge. 5lbs of ON is selling at around RM 290-300 in my local supplement stores, same to those other more reputable brands, mostly around RM 260 and above. So those "x" brands are like nearly RM 100 less of those brands.

I also checked Lazada and Shopee for those reputable brands but the shipping fee is like 20% of the protein price.

Local supplement stores are mostly selling those "x" brands because it's where they earn the most profit margin. I could buy 5lbs worth of Milo for RM60, repackage it and call it protein from the US, and sell it for 200. RM10 on packaging, I earn 90, retailers earns 40. So makes sense for retailers to push for such dubious products where they can earn more

I've checked shopee for myprotein, seller based in Sarawak. Delivery is free and it's just RM 265 after discount for 5lbs, which is similar to west malaysia. https://shopee.com.my/Myprotein-Impact-Diet...d2-ee805fb09bd8 Just 2 stocks left so I suggest you get it asap smile.gif

never trust a brand if its too cheap. i am not saying its bad but rm100 vs rm260 for same 5lbs...... probably for me only and i am a picky eater. screening ingredient list and nutritional info is my default checklist on food i eat.

another kinda local or sg brand i frequent is lushprotein. delivery is quite ok but u hv to wait for their discount. they just revise their pricing model and normal price is ridiculous without discount. so wait for it. i usually buy their soy protein and non flavor whey. they are good for their macha too but on pricey side. else myprotein uk store lo... wait for discount only buy.

https://lushprotein.my/pages/faq <-- for ur shipping calculation

else... get actual food lo... rm4-rm5 raw chic breast around 400gm at bigaeon, or rm20 whole grilled bird at aeon... or watever supermarket at ur area and split by ur need. egg also easy... tofu bla bla bla and u know the list....

Ya I always try my best to acquire protein through real food. But sometime we really need to rely on supplement like whey protein to hit the macro, especially when you are not in time to prepare your food due to long working hours & etc.

Still pretty decent tbh. It has 100 servings, which comes to RM2.95 per serving.

MP Impact Whey (100 Servings): RM 2.95/Serving, 19g protein per serving
MP Impact Diet Whey (84 Servings): RM 3.15/Serving, 19g protein per serving
ON Gold Standard (74 Servings): RM 3.38/ Serving. 24g protein per serving

I recently ordered their mass gainer "Mass Kingdom", cuz it was cheap, has other nutrients + creatine, glutamine, and also cuz it has very low sugar. Did you get the test results yet?

Not yet bro. But I already sent in my sample for lab test on last week. By this week I should be able to obtain the result already.
I didn't send in for amino acid profile testing cause the price is too exp. What I did is just sent in for simple nutritional test (Carbs, Protein, Fat & Energy Value).

Wonder if the results will come out like this https://www.instagram.com/p/CjkEq1UhJFp/?hl=en biggrin.gif Also originated from Malaysia but claim its from the US. Our country's food regulations has failed us unfailingly, which comes with no surprise. If you've received the results and it's not what it should be, I advise you to make a report to KPDNHEP and MOH as this is a criminal offence. Police report can also be made for such scams. Such fraudulent businesses should not continue to exist. It's better to safeguard other victims too smile.gif

The lab result is out but I cant attach it as my account is still new and under probation. I will just write it down for you guys.

Test Description Unit Result(s) Method of Equipment Used
Crude Protein g/100g 22.9 AOAC 2001.11 (2010)
Crude Fat g/100g 1.5 AOAC 920.39 (2010)
Total Carbs g/100g 66.4 Method of Analysis for Nutrition Labelling, AOAC 1993 Page 5 & 106
Energy kcal/100g 371 Method of Analysis for Nutrition Labelling, AOAC 1993 Page 5 & 106

This is the lab test result. 22.9g of protein per 100g of sample. Jeez.

Besides that, I also noticed another thing. They stated that per serving is 32g, but I weighed per scoop is 38g. That means that the per serving size is also misleading right? Correct me if my understanding is wrong. If I am correct, then means that each scoop (38g) only contains 8.7g of protein but with 25.23g of carbs.

So far I only afford to send to 1 lab for testing, so I can't confidently say that the lab test result is 100% accurate unless I have send to more labs for testing and getting the similar result.

Perhaps this result can serves as a red flag to anyone who is currently using the products from this brand. I also urge that who is currently using the product from this brand can testify it by having a lab test.

Didn't come as a surprise to me sweat.gif The 6g difference of the weight is likely the weight of the plastic scoop. Even MyProtein scoop weighs 8g. Have you deducted the weight of the empty scoop yet? It should match the label.

So if it's 32g of serving size, it'd only come to 7.3g protein 21g carbs per serving. Time to bulk with this laugh.gif (just kidding, not sure what cancerous or harmful ingredients are in there). It's definitely not Milo since it's double the protein content of Milo.

You may try uploading the report to https://www.file.io/ and attach the link over. Perhaps you could make a report to MOH and KPDNHEP as well when you got the time. Then hopefully actions will be taken against such businesses and retailers

Yup, I already deducted the scoop weight. 38g is purely the weight of that "protein" powder. Some more I am using "level scoop" method for the weight, not heaping or rounded scoop method.

Lol the restriction on this probation account is no annoying, can't upload image, can't paste any url also. Even I want to show the lab result also can't.

Lab test report by weixiangj. There's many dubious brands which I've seen multiple ads of. Would be good if these can be brought into the attention of the public.

Also, do take a look at this guy's IG highlight https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlight...99183566/?hl=en He made a few good points, and a comparison of how a legit protein powder should look like. It's funny how American Pharma posted on their FB page 5 months ago saying how they "will not hesitate to take any legal action against anyone who defames or slanders our products in any manner whatsoever" but when dinokang exposed them a week ago, the only actions taken by them is trash talking him in IG

The cost for the simple nutritional fact test (Carbs, Energy, Protein & Fat) is roughly RM 200-RM 250 in Sarawak.

Stevelum had posted the report in the thread on my behalf already, you can refer that.

Feel so disgusted with those business owner for making money through selling fake protein product.

MK has King Whey 5lb and Whey Kingdom 8lb (contain 3g of creatine as advertise).

King Whey 5lb taste better, Whey Kingdom 8lb taste worst, both sharing same scoop size (38g instead 32g as advertised)

The lab test is done using Whey Kingdom 8lb.

Fun Fact, both King Whey 5lb and Whey Kingdom 8lb are sharing the same nutritional fact label as well as the amino acid profile.

Haha bro, all the best to you! Kindly do update us after a period of time.
Tell us whether this product is effective or not. biggrin.gif
Too bad I am not rich enough to send King Whey 5lb for another lab test.

It's funny how American Pharma posted on their FB page 5 months ago saying how they "will not hesitate to take any legal action against anyone who defames or slanders our products in any manner whatsoever" but when dinokang exposed them a week ago, the only actions taken by them is trash talking him in IG

thansk to TS for public help to share the info. i think is good to share this info.
expected that a cheaper price will hv more filler. but i m sure its label can be consider inaccurate till extend can call a scam as the label vs the lab test have such big difference... as long its safe to consume, then TS can finish the tube and get a diff brand.

I didn't finish the remaining 25% of that tub.
I just can't convince myself to finish the remaining after I got the lab test result.
Perhaps anyone here who is using this brand can testify that whether did they face any kind of "health"? as I did not submit for another lab test (heavy metal tests).

Yup, better stick to those branded protein. Recently Muscle Kingdom's website couldn't be accessed anymore. It turns out to be more fishy than before. Just a head-up, there is another local brand arising - "Fitfirst" Protein. They claimed their 1 serving contains 30g of protein and it blends with L-carnitine for fat-loss also, well "2 in 1" functions.

Oh man, I've been using this brand for months but fortunately, there's no health complication from using it so far. No wonder it's so hard to find any information about this brand online.

Time to stop being kedekut and get myself a well branded protein this week and see if it does make a difference.

Glad to hear that there is no health complication on you. Have you make any noticeable muscle gain on using this product?

I did gain muscles but it's probably just typical newbie gains since I just started lifting last June. I am going to try myprotein whey this week and see if there is any difference in a few months.

One thing I noticed that is MK chocolate protein tastes nice like an actual chocolate drink or milo while Muscletech and myprotein chocolate flavour I tried has a bit weird almost like unpleasant taste.

I am not sure if that means something though.

Well actually a lot supplement label can be misleading, the more you read from internet the more confuse you will be.
That's why it is always better to get from a supplement store that carries a large variety of brands from various places, such as ProteinLab Malaysia. This way, you can get better advice from the shopkeeper as they will be more transparent and honest with their advice.
In addition to that, you can easily check their Google reviews of their customers, in terms of trust, reliability, and even recommendations of products to achieve their body goals. I would say Protein Lab would be one of the best supplement shops to go to.
They have several outlets, like in Cyberjaya, SS2 and a few others rclxms.gif

Just go there and ask for their boss icon_rolleyes.gif , they will call him and you can even get free advice from him this way.

Also below is the website on which is a good supplement store available in Klang Valley area, if you need any reputable supplement store to assist you in recommending you the correct products which can work towards your goal:
