Hi, can anyone recommend me a reputable Civil & Structural Engineering consultant for resident renovation services ?
I'm thinking to shift my double storey house column (from exisiting to the extended area) wanted to consult the professional before I do so.

Appreciate if anyone can recommend some

If you have engaged a contractor, they should be able to help you out on engaging both architect and structural consultant. I am currently renovating my house and everything is arranged by my contractor.

Generally, columns cannot be relocated if it supports the upper floor load. If it is car porch area, then it might be possible depending on design and professional advise.

Yea agree, but I know there are ways to do it safely as well , but need to assess the structure first, hence wanted to consult the professional for their opinion

True that, let me ask my contractor if he have any structural consultant. Because I got all the drawing/architect arranged and approved by my own, only to find the contractor to carry out the work
