Hi everyone,

Need an opinion on this. I changed job & have to travel around 160km++ daily to work. 70% highway 30% city. Currently, Im riding LC135 (top speed around 110km/h). Its been 3 month & I consider an upgrade because feel tired & bored to travel on that speed (feel like forever to reach home rclxub.gif ). With tight budget under 15k & no B full license. I consider to get used ninja 250 2016 bcause I like this bike since high school. last month I go test ride this old bike & fall in love with it. The sales person told me, its a reliable bike, just maintain the engine oil & no headache. I think the sales person just want to scam me but since I like it, I want to buy it, but not sure if its worth it or not. Is this bike hard to maintain?

I'm actually looking for bike to replace my 750 as daily workhorse too.. Even my foreman (also friend) highly recommend me taking 250.. Even the older one also very reliable if properly maintained.. Only one thing to keep in mind.. Eventhough the engine is very reliable, parts will age and need to replace over time.. So if getting s/hand, make sure you still have some cash in hand just in case..

OP doesn't need 15k if buying second hand. Lower your budget to 10k, get a used ninja 250 from 2010 to 13, blow the balance on checking and maintenance.

Or you can just blow 11k on a 2016 model, still reliable and you have plenty of spare cash for accessories and first purchase maintenance if you still stick with your budget of 15k

You can also consider upgrade to bfull license and get a er6n since the upgrade and bike should be within 15k as well but take into account that maintenance for 650cc will naturally be higher than 250cc first.
