1. Any well-established brand will do with good warranty. Don't buy the cheapest one and you'll be OK. My top picks for RAM is Kingston or Crucial. SSD either WD or Crucial.
2. Yes it's straightforward but if you are not a DIY person, it will be hard. If there's a warranty sticker, then no more warranty for you.
