Had one long ago, lots of fingerprints on the screen. Also ppl accidentally touch when they are pointing to something on-screen

Only get it if you really have a need to use it.
Otherwise, it just an extra mouse clicker on screen.
Pros, in case your touchpad spoil & you doesn't have a mouse around. (Maybe your friends will "wow, touchscreen")
Cons, screen design might be thicker & doesn't look very good compare to non-touchscreen. (Friends & colleague will accidentally click your screen as mentioned in post #3)

Used once but later went back to non-touch. I prefer a cleaner screen instead.

In daily usage, I only use touchscreen when mouse is not convenience to use (e.g. moving around).
Additional notes, I advice you evaluate whether is touchscreen is ready need for you (similar to phone, is stylus pen is really needed.)
For touchscreen laptop, I prefer to get those super lightweight and with detachable keyboard.

Getting Started

|
I used to have a HP laptop with touchscreen but I use it for over 3 years and only use less than 3 times on touchscreen. Not so useful and efficient if comparing on using mouse. So at the end, I sold it.

I am a big fan of Apple products, and I really like MacBook for its clean look. While most laptop brands have their touchscreen laptops, Apple has famously avoided adding touchscreens to its macOS devices, but now it may make a big change in the next few years. https://www.theverge.com/2023/1/11/23550870...cbook-pro-rumorApple might finally make a touchscreen Mac

Got friend design company uses a Lenovo Yoga 2 touch screen laptop for presentation. Screen gets smudgy with fingerprints and all. Touch screen is ok. Not super responsive. And it was expensive that time. Today very rarely seen anyone has touch screen laptop. Used for about 4 years until the hinge broken. No spare parts so it was chucked aside.
