Solar powered GFM925W  drool.gif Finish add it just now. No more 240v. 100% solar energy.

The system installed by dblcss 3 days ago.

Huh how come autogate also wanna use solar?
Why use hydrolic motor.

Like normal built on ground DC motor can last much longer than hydrolic motor.

DCMoto GFM-925W autogate system can be power up by either normal 240v or solar. I choose solar. Personal preference.

What do you mean by hydrolic motor? hmm.gif

Hydronlic motor is installed on the side of pillar.

Later the pillar can be crack easily.

It's not hydraulic... it's just normal 12v motor. Hydraulic motor means the use of liquid (hydraulic fluid) to make things move.

The pillar is solid concrete with enough embedded iron rod. Proper concrete mix, not those mix with cement block. Won't crack.

My fren crack on hinge portion.
Cause side moving cannot hold the heavy load of mater gate.

If install on ground shouldnt be it happen.

Thanks for sharing, haturaya thumbup.gif

For item 3 & 4, you DIY or dblcss help to install? Btw, if the auto-gate powered by solar, does it means no 'AC electricity' is required?

Thanks again!

Yup, no 3 & 4 100% DIY. Very easy and straight forward. DCMoto controller board already comes with proper solar panel power input pin.

Yup, 100% on solar. Not connected to any AC electricity. Required by DCMoto controller board. Either solar powered OR normal 240v AC. NOT both.

FYI, any autogate system can be 'turned' to solar power. Just need a little 'hacking' to the power source.

dblcss did the standard installation. Actually, not that difficult IF you have the right tools.

Best to let it to the experience person to do it. Perfectly done by dblcss. Drilling, hacking, etc. lots of labour intensive works.

Err nope. I bought just the solar panel and extension cable separately. The link is within my previous post that shows the cost breakdown. You don't need the DIY kit.

You're welcome. Do PM me if you need help with the solar panel installation.

One more thing, if you're doing your gate pillar, if you can, ask the contractor to construct it as full concrete embedded with steel rod instead of using cement block.

Thank you to dblcss. Just installed my DC moto 925Al with gate lock.

Very tough job to install the gate lock as my Gate was made from Aluminium. need to sacrifice a bit by drilling few holes to overcome the obstacles inside the frame.

After moving the mountain, Mr Alex eventually done his works flying colors... kudos...

p/s the torque powered by this motor is very powerful

Good thing about Alex is that he is not biased and wouldn't push you for more expensive add ons or models. Once confirmed that i would like the 925W we agreed on the deal. The fact that he came a day earlier from initial appointment (because previous installation finished early) gave me a lot of flexibility since im available on that day.

Highly recommended dblcss
