Hi,

just had an issue today with my autogate

1. when opening 2 sides, 1 side( motor 2) will open then stops in 2 seconds
2. i did tried several times, then notice the board started to burn at the resistor.
3. i replaced the board with a new spare unit, this time i left the motor 2 connection out. pressing the remotes it works like normally, 1 side or 2 side.
4. but when i connected the motor 1 wires,  it happen the same as the first time, motor 2 opens for 2 seconds then stops.
5. thinking maybe the motor or wiring has issues, i used another spare motor and connected it to the board, the same happens.
6. now i notice the lights on motor 1 lights up all the time.

i suspect it could be the transformer not supply enough voltage.current, or coud i have burnt this board again!

any advice to troubleshoot the issue?

when one of the motor stops, both motor will stop too. Is it same like that? I had the that problem, and I'm using the same board/controller.as yours. I'm not technician and don't know how to find which component is faulty. So, I just bought a new board and replace whole board. My problem is now gone.

This Thread still alive or dead..  unsure.gif

Summoning back to ask..

izzit ok to put autogate motor arm 'outside' of my gate? as the 'wall/pillar' to mount the arm inside is less space to mount.
the 'gate opening' also small, if motor arm mount 'inside' it will take more driveway space.

should be okay. The gate with autogate will work just fine. On security aspect, outsiders can easily unscrew the arm, if they want to.

just wanna know, any auto gate system that works with Home Kit?

Like I can use my phone to open the gates instead of relying on the remote only.

like someone mentioned above.. it's a simple device with power input (can tap from transformer or battery) and output wire, that taps directly to existing open/close gate switch on the autogate controller. And it's also very cheap. Got many tutorials on youtube on how to install it.

Does anyone knows.... Do we need to have the original remote for auto gate if the spare one is spoiled? My tenant is in Kuantan and the spare remote he is using is spoilt however i am now based in KL.... so can i snap a photo for him for him to do a duplicate? ( the remote is old type.... got number and can push up and down type) Anyone can advise?

I believe, this is the remote that you meant. Yes, you can just show the configuration picture of any of the working remote to your tenant ... It should work. Or the tenant can open up his broken autogate remote also to see the push button configuration.

Oh, another thing.. make sure the tenant select the correct frequency for the replacement remote. The frequency should be either 330Mhz or 433MHz..

My remote don't have the frequency numbering metalic chip.
I bought a 433mhz remote control as a spare from shopee.
Set the same dip switch but it's not working with my autogate. What's wrong?
How do I know what frequency is my existing remote?

probably, the frequency number is shown on the back? anyway, this seller shows how to identify 433 vs 330 MHz.

3 of my remote control not working, but the button inside the house works. Is this something I can fix ?

Can anyone recommend an autogate receiver?

Was quoted rm180 for Espion receiver + rm80 labour

if the button inside the house is wireless, then, all your remotes are broken.
If the button inside the house is conected by wire, then,
-probably the receiver inside the control panel got disconnected due to loose screws or snapped wire.
-probably the receiver module faulty already. Get a replacement, then follow the original wiring. Make sure
never touch the 240V power supply (or switch off the supply from the db box) to prevent death.
