QUOTE(jasrisamad @ Sep 11 2013, 10:59 AM) Hi guys, Just to update my Autogate installation. As promised, last night Mr. Autogate has come to my house to deliver the control set (remote, keypad, and the RF receiver). So everything is complete now. I have 4 remote control(ordered extra 1 unit for RM60). SO total I paid is RM1460 for DcMoto-925W. is everything working fine till today?Happy with his services. Happy with the autogate. Satisfied customer here. Just hoping nothing wrong/faulty will occur. i plan to engage for his service also. recommended? |

QUOTE(Tidor @ Sep 17 2013, 05:37 PM) Just to share, i'm using Jackpro for two years already based on some forum good feedback during research.. installation was okay only.. so far the gate have malfunction twice, first during warranty and need motor replacement (waited 2-3 weeks without autogate) and the second time is wiring problem so fix on the spot and have to pay rm80 for the service fee. after that is working fine until now. is your installer from this forum too? |

1 question. why we need armoured cable? normal cable using pvc tube not enough for external wiring for autogate/door bell/lamp post?
any technical reason for that? |

All cable should be water proof rite as all hv the insulated layer. humm... when i google, the advantage only abt losses which i think not significant for domestic use i.e. autogate, doorbell, lamp post...
The question why need to use armored cable still in my mind n yet to decide which to use... |

The important of using SWA is the grounding metal and the protection shield especailly when you lay under ground, as you didn't want if anything happen that will cause your to hack the car pouche to be hack.
Putting wires into PVC may open to other exploit like water leaking into it, qualities of the cable, etc. Some time just not an good idea for cost saving for such thing. Hazard free... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steel_wire_armoured_cable |

i was quoted RM2320 for local autogate. AMGATE brand. Installation and motor. The controller is not those 2 button type but 4 button. with key to release the autogate if no current.
2100 for autogate motor and installation. 220 to weld 4 bearing to my existing gate. was told the motor is from malaysia. is this expensive or any supplier can give me a better solution. this motor is said to cannot push to open by robber. my cable is already installed by developer. cable ready at gate area and also postbox area for console.
