One occasion the board fried very likely fried by lightning. Can either repair or replace. I op to replace because I don't have to wait, and got it replace immediately. The faulty board still with me, need to fix it when I have time.

QUOTE(kokmengng @ Feb 5 2014, 09:39 AM) Ok guys. How do we permanently solve/prevent the issue where autogate board always strikes by lighting? Lightning arrestor or isolator from the incoming power. And if can ground the arms.

Most if my house expensive equipment are protect using cal-lab.
If you are a diy person cal-lab not hard to install.
My autogate also got fried by lighting before. But replacement is only hundred plus. So I never put one in.

QUOTE(enriquelee @ Sep 2 2014, 01:16 PM) What is the material use for this price? Then how? My developer suggest me to put grease at the arm. Yup, grease may damage the arm because the grease will stick on the foreign material on the arm.

QUOTE(enriquelee @ Sep 2 2014, 05:26 PM) Use water as lubricant? Mine is metal gate, fold type. Slightly less than 30 feets long. Over sometime without the grease, it is so slow to get it fully close. There is a time, it doesn't move at all. Water to wash la. How long have you used the gate? Sound like a faulty roller/bearing, you apply grease is ease the movement not a permanent solution. 30ft may required a good roller.

QUOTE(enriquelee @ Sep 3 2014, 09:24 AM) 1.5 years of usage only. Any way to inspect the roller/bearing? Still under DLP, can get free repair. But the problem is i don't know how to identify the defect. Ask your neighbor, compare the performance. 1.5 years is too early for roller to give way.

QUOTE(yvne @ Sep 11 2014, 05:14 PM) I believe is the limit switch is important for the stopping the motor from turning. If the limit switch is not set properly, then the motor is over-stress. Most system have over current protect, if the swing can't go anymore the current will increase and the board will stop. Same cancept as our car auto wind power windows.
