passport renewal, walk in or appointment needed?

Managed to pay for online renewal and made an appointment to collect this upcoming week
But I just noticed that the note from the appointment stated must have a valid (Not expired) passport. Mine was expired roughly 2 years(didn't renew earlier due to coivd etc). Anything I should be worried during collection? Or anything I can do prior going for the collection |
