In my years of interviewing, not once did I say, oh please show me your certificate, especially when it comes to a position such as a developer or a UIUX developer or web developer. I will always ask them about their past projects, whether it is work related (those who have experience), or personal projects (those who are new to the scene or fresh graduates). Personal projects are a good way to showcase your skills as well.
