Nissan cars are for the old people...

there isn't much choice for mid-class mpv. you have the alza at entry level, the very old exora, all the recon before you get to premium stuff from hyundai & toyota.

the serena is more function over form but its over priced. they should have kept the price but update the interior & safety features.

was hoping honda and toyota bring in the new stepwgn and noah/voxy to have some options but looks like they are not interested.

for a large family car an mpv is still better than suv with more usable 3rd row, space, flexibility and easy ingress/egress.

anything wrong with the interior? still looks okayish to me if compare to toyota cross

Had the misfortune of riding in one a few months ago.

Drivetrain noise is noisy and unpleasant.

A ride in the middle row on the elite highway to the airport? Shit I thought the days of body roll and pitching was a thing of the past, clearly Renault didn’t loan them any of their know how on building a proper MPV.

Then there’s the aftersales, goodness you must be a sucker for punishment to want to put up with TC.

Tbh for peace of mind we only have nissan serena as it was officially by nissan. So warranty, spare part and service is there.
If you buy toyata noah voxy or honda stepwgn, u need to bear all your problem by yourself.

To compare serena is with voxy/noah, stepwgn and biante.

- It is SLOW PICKUP (tp top speed boleh tahan )
- Mcm SAMPAN
- WTF Hybrid bodo, ini mchiem pun claim hybrid, then all P2 car also Hybrid laaa
- No EPB, WTF
- HU so small, disconnected from the car, mcm 2010 dumb phone, bodo
- The full-spec roof monitor has the quality of a 1990 LCD TV
- Car MAX storage lousai, sbb middle row xbley fold, and 3rd row fold side, so stowage area kecik laaaa kalau nk angkat benda, apa MULTIPURPOSE-Vehicle konon
- Leather seat third party local pasang, not fit like factory Virgin

BUT
- It is brand new, 5y warranty
- It is the best selling MPV in Japan, beats (NEW) Noah Voxy etc etc
- Why bother with refurb Noah Voxy almost sama harga jewww
- It is BIG, but not TOO BIG (ALPAD, BELPAYAR, CARNIVAL too big, my wife tak suka...)
- Storage is still HUGE even with all 3 row up, because of the hidden underfloor storafe (sacrifice sikit legroom, but still bigger than Alza lerrr...)

Itu what I can remember laaa. So I regret ke tak....NO Life is compromise, make the best decision from options at hand.

Although handling sampan because of the car design intended for comfort..it is better than T30 Xtrail
the C24 malaysia didn't equip with ESC but Japan variant did actually came with it.. so sad.
Storage space, it is quite design as manage to carry number of bulky stuff before (8 wooden pallets, whole boxes and bags from campus, 2 lawn mowers, few big flower pots) but all these came to the sacrifice of rear absorber (already kaput).

despite family own a manual Navara D40 but Serena still serve as family work horse..

They cannot. Need to increase cost, means those chinaman will untung less. Their warranty also damn shitty, almost everything will tell you it's wear and tear and excluded.

Those interested in Serena can join the current gen owner's FB page and study the existing issues faced by the owners. Not saying the problem is big because I didn't really look into them but there seemed to be some issues.

This doesn't apply only to Serena but those interested in other make/models should also join the respective groups.

Avoid at all cost
1. Compressor Issue, if no warranty gg la mau tukar, 1 year + owner sudah kena
2. Absorber issue, common, rata2 sudah tukar under warranty claim
3. Hybird battery failure, kena tukar RM1k ++
4. CVT issue uncommon, masuk gear tarak gerak

Dulu punya 3 years warranty, lepas 3 years sudah macam2 rosak. Right now new batch TCM offer 5 years warranty, boleh la, tapi compressor sama je 3 years, 5 years only engine dengan gear box saja.
